Pepper Keenan

John Garcia
Chris Goss

Just a few of the ones that pop into my head. I always know who I'm listening to when once the vocals come in with these people.

Are we talking distinctive or unique? I could name plenty in both categories, but not sure if they are one in the same.

Björk, who else could you call the most unique voice in music?

Stephen Hawking comes close though:

And one day I might be if the Post Punk band I sing in keeps going with me singing horribly out of tune!

Those words aren't synonyms? lol, just a singing voice that really separates itself from the pack. For example, Eminem sounds different from most rappers

Peter Cetera

I've always thought that Bruce Springsteen's voice was pretty unique. He manages to stand out from the crowd and makes that gravely style of voice work.

I nominate KING DIAMONDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Why hasn't anyone said him yet? He has one of the, if not the, most recognizable vioces in the world!

I also think of Lemmy from Motorhead and Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth from Overkill. His voice is CRAZY. Cinderellas singer is also one I think of.

Klaus Meine from Scorpions is also another good one.

Not that well known in some parts of the world but he still has a unique voice.
Brandon Flowers - The Killers.

Dave Mustaine - Megadeth (already said?)
John Fogerty - Creedance Clearwater Revival
And of course OZZY

Another that comes to mind: Roy Orbison... old school, but way beyond unique. Louis Armstrong, Frank Zappa, and Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull and Jon Anderson of Yes I believe to be worthy of "unique" status as well...

Have a good one

James Hetfield (Metallica)
Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), does sound a bit like Chris Cornell, but still pretty distinctive.
Andrew Stockdale (Wolfmother)
Gavin Rossdale (Bush/Institute)
Jim James (My Morning Jacket)
