The bar on the right is actually the depth of field and point of focus. It shows what area will be in focus on the image. It only really does anything when the "aperture" slider is turned up (simulates "opening up" to a large aperture on a real camera), and then you can use the "focus" slider to move the point of focus toward and away from the "camera" That's what'll actually move the bar on the right, so, for example, with a "large aperture", if the middle of the bar is set to 30 feet, everything from 25 to 35 feet from the "camera" will be in focus. (That's not an accurate example, I'm just making up numbers.) The wider the aperture, or the farther to the right the aperture bar is, the smaller the area in focus will be, and the farther to the left the aperture bar is set, the wider the in-focus area will be. At default with the bar all the way to the left, everything will be in focus, from right in front of the camera to the farthest background detail.
You can also "autofocus" the camera in normal mode (rather than effects mode) by pointing the central point of the screen at wherever you want the middle of your in-focus zone and pressing X, the depth of field scale bar on the right should move to show where the camera's now focused.

Custom livery, been working on it for a while. There's still some room for either improvement or expansion I just need to mess around with it. More photos with better angles (and lighting) to come.

You people sitting on the fence, just look what's been done in this thread. Most liveries, whether made up by the guys here or from real life, are made up of a few basic shapes and colors. For instance, stretch out a square and you have a racing stripe. If you have the game, play around with it a bit. You'll be surprised what you can do.

I've always liked the livery editor, just never had the patience or skill to do anything worth looking at.
It's still frustrating, but it's a game, I can't let it beat me.

There are rumors that the compression has been improved some now and most file sizes are up from 55-85KB to now about 110-130KB. Anyone confirm? Im stuck at work and cant check.

Again, just gorgeous. What general settings are you rolling with for brightness, exposure, contrast, and color? Mine are coming out really washed out. Yours are bright and colorful and bold. My tv images and my computer images are like night in day in every sense.

Yeah I post on fm.net and got a good response for the first two weeks. I made my own thread recently but there was already hundreds of personal threads. The multimedia sub forum seems a lot quieter now but there's still amazing pics being posted. Big chrome rims and Liveries are received well. Novelty is wearing off a bit now unless its a truly amazing pic.
I don't have any general settings. I think hosting on flickr and linking the small picture helps as well as having good settings on your TV so you can see the final outcome. The colour and brightness is pretty much what they looked like on the TV.

cause forza 3s compression sucks and full res pics look like crap for the most part. plus its easier for them to load in a thread with this many pics.
