haha..no no!

5 stars :) (cinco estrelas). Great people.

haha, right on! Thanks for that comment.. cinco estrelas for sure... I've been playing F1 2011 with a buddy lately but next time I play GT5 I'm going to look you up on PSN, maybe we can race some :). Sorry my Portuguese is a little rusty, I'm 42 and I've been in the US since I was 10. I can still speak Portuguese pretty good but my reading and spelling are lacking... Sorry, please forgive my ignorance but what does (Belo equipamento tens aí) mean? Does it mean "Nice equipment you have there?"

Well the only thing that is not right about that is the display, it doesnt fit the width of the windshield. he really needs a projector or a tripple screen setup if he's going to go to that much effort to create a cockpit.

Not much to show yet, as I don't live in the house yet, but soon, very soon.

Not much to see here, but eventually this room will house my racing rig (seen here-My Rig) which will see substantial upgrades soon, a full 5.1 surround sound, and eventually (hopefully) a decent drumset.

My new setup:

Still not as nice as some of the amazing setups in this thread, but it's a huge upgrade over the large computer desk setup I posted earlier. :yuck:

Nice wheel / pedals... The chair looks like it could get a little uncomfortable after a while...

Thanks!

Yeah, it is pretty uncomfortable, unfortunately. If I do long races, I have to put a pillow in the chair.

Have you ever considered swapping the seat for something more comfortable? You will enjoy longer races more if you find a seat that's comfortable 👍 .

Sometimes you can only use what you hav on-hand. For the longest time I was using my kids Winnie The Pooh table To mount my DFP to way back when GT4 was released. The table had to rest on my legs because it was shorter than my knees hen sitting on the couch.

Do you still have your DFP? While we're still on the subject of GT4, I happened to find myself playing it today. And surprisingly GT4 still looks good considering it was only a PS2 game. But I fear that my PS2 will die very soon, and it's also such a shame that Sony has ceased production on backwards compatible PlayStation 3 consoles, all because they thought it was too 'expensive' to produce the chip containing the PS2 emulator on it.

My PS2 has also been crashing a lot when playing games and also it couldn't read 2/3 of my disc although the condition of them were almost immaculate. But yes, I guess you just have to make the most of what you have access to  .

Don't know where about you are located but there is a Craigslist that covers most US cities. CL is an awesome place to find custom built rigs, racing seats, chairs etc. http://atlanta.craigslist.org. Just as an example, here is a custom built rig with a nice looking racing seat in Decatur, GA for $30 http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/vgm/3005207795.html. You can use the seat and build your own stand for it to integrate with your current setup.. If I lived in Decatur I'd buy that rig for $30 and build a second rig for my kid, the seat alone would be a great buy for $30 bucks...

I actually passes along my DFP to a buddy when I got into the next gen of wheels.

Are you still using a fat PS2? I'd buy a new one before they go extinct.

Yes, I'm still using a fat PS2. And it's a shame that it will go extinct someday. And yes I will look for a new one or at least fix the laser on my current one before it's too late.

This is my cockpit. As for a "man cave", well... I just don't have one. A game room, yes; But, it's not "mine". In fact, I think the mrs has her girlfriends over for wine and guy talk more then I do guys for billiards and beer!

Nice setup!!! Did you build this yourself? One of the best I've seen, really nice job...
