Chaps, I feel like this thread answers my question straight away... but when painting one of these buses, you lose the two tone correct?

Unfortunately, yes, you lose the two-tone. I'd love to be able to create a white/Florida Blue one.

Its pretty weird that they did the paint the way they have? I mean, for some cars... you keep the stripes or the two tone (EVO VI TME (P), and Vette RM come to mind) but for other cars like this you lose the two tone...

Not to mention its completely a GUESSING GAME because PD has only given us that silly blob to "envision" what the paint will look like on our cars?

Ugh...

I guess Kaz thought it would be more realistic to have to imagine your car with the new paint yourself, and only have a sample, as would be likely in a real paint shop. However, the concept of paint chips is frankly ludicrous. If you want it to be realistic to the fine details, why make it so that you can only paint your car the colour of other cars you own? A real paint shop would allow you to choose any colour, any finish, except for extreme specialties, and even then, you could find a place that would chrome your car without too much trouble; it all depends on how much you're going to pay. The paint chip mechanic, while a novelty at first, quickly gets annoying, and it's also annoying when you want to paint your car matte blue and you've already used it on your Camaro RM. :ouch:

As for Samba buses, I haven't taken pictures of one, nor have I even owned one yet. But judging from the pictures, these look like some of the best modeled cars in the game. They look pretty exquisite, not to mention different. Hugely distressing that they went to all that trouble to model the interiors and then made it impossible to ever see them, or 90% of the details, such as in the back seats and lower dash. Annoying as anything. :grumpy:
