Pray for Kent and the families of his town

Tonight i want to ask everybody around this place to pray for kent. he ran thr wrs for a long time, he's one hell of a racer, and i'm proud to call him my friend. late tonight hurricane katrina will slam into new orleans. kent's town is 30 miles north and directly in the storm's path. she's a catagory 5, the 4th most powerful hurricane ever measured.

so please everybody, put your hands together and pray for the safety of kent, his family, and the other families in all of southeastern louisiana, mississippi, and alabama. hopefull this thing won't be as bad as it sounds and everybody in the area will make it through. especially my man kent. good luck man, we're with you in spirit.

It's not any consolation prize but It sounds like there's a lot of stuff going on to prepare for what's to come. That's better than After the fact but hopefully, it doesn't turn out like people are predicting and dies before a lot of damage is done. Stay safe people.

Everyone down there is going to be in my thoughts and prayers, including the oil industry. The price of a barrel of oil is projected to jump by $10 due to Katrina.

I wouldn't expect Kent on for 2 or 3 weeks. maybe longer. If it took us a week to get power, it'll take NO much longer.

the storm surge didn't break the levee. so the real serious problem didn't happen. if that 17 foot levee system would have been breached, new orleans would have filled like a punch bowl. THAT would have been horrendous. the damage will likely be the worst ever but atleast it didn't turn into atlantis. kent lives in slidell or some other god-forsaken one horse town and it's across that big bay/lake (i won't hazard an attempt at spelling it but it has a long-ass bridge across it) to the northeast. hopefully, he'll be ok. guess we'll find out either way in the next coupla days.

Guys, I have heard reports that NO made it through, but I have also heard on the news that Slidell got the worst of it, however there are still not too many pics on storm damage.
