How are you planning to "use" the game/bonus content?

I know that sounds like a daft question, but I mean like, I have purchased an exclusive/bonus content game, and plan to use this as my main game.
I have heard before that some folk buy the bonus content game, PLUS a regular game which they use, and keep the more highly valued game sealed etc....:boggled:

I'm really not sure what bonus content we actually get here in Aus., I think its the set of cars with the blue paintwork, as well as a stash of credits...
I will be setting the cars aside in my garage and let them accumulate dust.
But the extra credit will get used wisely, buying a good selection of cars required to get things moving.

This is my first ever pre-order, so I figured I may as well get the bonus'. :)

I don't see why the anniversary edition would be worth more 10 years from now(example) because the code that comes with it for DLC expires after like 18 months. besides that, and the steelbook for the Europeans, what could make it worth more?

Hey mate, not sure if you pre-ordered at EB Games or not but if you go here:

https://www.ebgames.com.au/ps3-154277-Gran-Turismo-6-Anniversary-Edition-PlayStation-3

You can find a pretty good write up of exactly what comes in the Australian Anniversery Edition.

Definitely just going to let those bonus cars stay as tickets in my garage. I hope they are able to be traded. Then they could be worth a lot on the car market down the line >:3
But really, I would definitely use the Mk I GT40.

Pre ordered and pre paid GT6AE but I won't be getting the "additional" copy to keep fresh personally. Good luck with it, I did my 1st PO and PP with GT5 Collectors edition. Maybe one day the case will come back out the box for display.

I will take the headstart to my garage and the $Million Samolians and try to avoid offline racing completely. If I can get away with it, I'll do no ASpec, no license test, no special events etc. I intend to race online only, avoiding even Seasonals and participating only in the Time Trials that interest me.

I was going to have two game saves, one with and one without.:) but as it seems we will have all cars from the get go it's seeming more and more pointless.

ok cheers. just thought it strange how none of the other major online retailers amazon, shopto, zavvi, even have it listed yet only a few weeks away.

It's a GAME exclusive.

As for the OP. I'll be only be using the anniversary cars to progress through the career mode. Unless I come across an event where I don't have a suitable car for it. i.e. NASCAR then I'll buy some regular cars. The other exclusive stuff will be used too. Going to get my money's worth.

Ordered it through Game but they have not taken the funds?? Seems odd! Also, will there be trading in this new game? Hope not, was a silly feature to have a second hand dealership and daft trading system. Hope all the cars are available from the start as just one main dealer and all that prevents the user getting them is funds! I plan to use all my content like i would any other part of the game. They are just pixels arranged in a different order and have no monitary value!!! I'm paying the extra purely because i like the look of the blue cars, couldn't care less about exclusivity, trade value or 0/0/0 !!!

I haven't really thought about this yet. I suppose I will not use the special cars so much, but I think I will use the money to buy a few cars that I am itching to try out. But as for using it to accelerate through the career, I don't think so. I didn't do that with GT5s Stealth and Chromeline cars, and I don't think I will do it with GT6.

My reason for buying the anniversary edition: I like blue. :P

I managed to get the Anniversary Edition for the same price as the regular edition, so I have no complaints over value! :sly:

I hope that the anniversary liveries can be recoloured. I'd like to paint the GT40 either red, or light blue with orange wheels!

I'll use the outfit for my A-Spec driver, unless I find another outfit that I really like, in which case I will use the special outfit on my #1 B-Spec Bob.

I'll need to see the official event-list before I can guess what the credits will be spent on. I'll try to pick cars that will let me complete the early events quickly and easily. 👍

Not really thought about it yet, but I'll probably play as the standard edition, until it becomes a choice between grinding and using an AE car to continue to play the game. I'd rather progress through the early part of the game as if I had the standard game. Bought the AE cause at some point, I'll probably want every car - like I did with GT5

What's the point in collecting cars?
We're completists. Honestly, that's really it.
I've collected 2000+ cars across 2 GT5 accounts and they've all just been sitting there collecting digital dust for a year. Same goes for Forza4. Garage limit reached and cars are just sitting there.
It adds to the replayability of the game greatly, I guess that would also be a big point for it, but once you put the game down for good and everything you collected is still there, it feels like a big waste of time.
