Silly, people who collect items don't touch them - nor do the collecters who buy that item from them. It makes no difference if the codes will have expired, it's just important that they are present as proof that it's an original, day one purchase.I don't see why the anniversary edition would be worth more 10 years from now(example) because the code that comes with it for DLC expires after like 18 months. besides that, and the steelbook for the Europeans, what could make it worth more?
I managed to get the Anniversary Edition for the same price as the regular edition, so I have no complaints over value!
I hope that the anniversary liveries can be recoloured. I'd like to paint the GT40 either red, or light blue with orange wheels!
If you have ever played GT5 before then you will know that exclusive cars such as chrome lines and stealths cannot be painted so why would the anniversary models vary - why would you want to anyway, sort of defeats the point of having exclusive vehicles! You are aware that a regular GT40 (fittingly enough, shown in red) is available in the game from day 1 and i'm sure you can spray it like every other road car however you want?!! Some people really confuse me!!
People may want to respray their cars to the way they want it. It's called personalisation, and the best thing about it is that it's optional. I'll personally keep my 25th anniversary cars blue (Judging from my font colour, I think you can tell why). But if others want to paint the 25th anniversary cars Red, they have the right to do so.
when is the anniversary edition available to pre-order here in the uk?
Standard + preorder bonuses.I thought this was the anniversary edition I pre ordered it on Amazon a while ago? If this isn't anniversary edition what edition have I ordered?

Ok thanks but what makes it different to the anniversary? And will I still be able to buy dlc 18 months after. Will this version have something missing that the anniversary will have?Standard + preorder bonuses.
AE only available from GAME in the UK.
So, the preorder bonus is likely to expire if unused after 18 months, but you will still be able to buy/use whatever dlc appears after release.Ok thanks but I rephrased my question sorry lol?
Nobody said they don't have a right but i bet my life on it that you can't respray them otherwise they would just be delivered in plain white rather than an exclusive shade that no other cars use. And thanks for expalining personalisation and options for me, i would never have known without that valuable input!
Will the standard edition + bonus pack im buying lack anything that the anniversary edition will have. Because I will cancel my order if I find out that anniversary edition has something standard doesn't.
Standard + amazon preorder bonus still lacks 15 more anniversary edition cars and a few other things i.e. steelbook case, custom paint chips, custom race suit, custom race helmet, and custom PSN avatar. Will the standard edition + bonus pack im buying lack anything that the anniversary edition will have. I'm looking forward to seeing how/if they develop the collecting to make it even more immersive. With all of the cars available to purchase as new I think collecting could be diminished quite a bit. At that point, you just buy them all and then you're done. With the UCD, getting a collection full of 0/0/0 cars was pretty special. We're completists. Honestly, that's really it.
I've collected 2000+ cars across 2 GT5 accounts and they've all just been sitting there collecting digital dust for a year. Same goes for Forza4. Garage limit reached and cars are just sitting there.
It adds to the replayability of the game greatly, I guess that would also be a big point for it, but once you put the game down for good and everything you collected is still there, it feels like a big waste of time.
not me...What is interesting is the cars will now accumulate millage just like in real life. Is this going to stop people driving their "special" cars so they can keep all zeros in the odometers?
It was this way in GT5. Having a Pristine 0/0/0 car was a big deal to some in GT5.What is interesting is the cars will now accumulate millage just like in real life. Is this going to stop people driving their "special" cars so they can keep all zeros in the odometers?
You mean the standard version with upgrade.just to be thorough, as an american you want the gamespot 15 anniv edition, right?
