Could be. Are we going to be able to watch F1 races on GTTV?
Kaz has hinted about using GTTV to get race series to regions that don't typically get to see them, like F1 to the US, Super GT to the US and EU, and NASCAR to the EU and Japan (sorry guys).Now THAT would be awesome, Hi-Def F1
I honestly think PD has something up its sleeve regarding F1.
When he was asked about how long after a program aired would it take to be available on GTTV he specifically said that things like race events would be wanted as quickly as possible and then things like TV shows and car reviews wouldn't necessarily have an immediate demand because it isn't live.
From the various discussions of GTTV I have read I am under the impression that we may very well get racing events. Which events, I don't know. But I like this because I don't have anything like Speed, and even if I did there are still various series that I wouldn't get a chance to watch.

Speaking of which, anyone notice there hasn't been a replay featuring the road course configuration even though we know it'll be on GT5P? This coupled with a recent interview video that MildAshers posted has me thinking we could possibly see a US release much earlier then we think, at least to me. Possibly in the same month on the same week as a certain famous endurace classic?
I know I would love to see that happen.

When do you mean. I think it is highly unlikely that we will see it any sooner then Feb but i'am willing to hope. The Rolex 24 is part of "Speedweeks" at Daytona, which is all part of the Daytona 500 celebration.

Well, just finished downloading after about 2 hours and already found a negative....
It makes me want a HDTV even more, I know my set isn't doing this game justice! First thing you can do (you can't enter events until you do) is go to the showroom, and you have 3,500,000 credits to spend. The R8 is over 16,500,000, but that's the only thing I've checked since I'm off to play some Madden before I get stuck in.

I hear what your saying, I guess its that build from a subtle scrubbing I don't hear , as the carcass begins to slide it seems to go straight into this high pitch squeal. I know this has been discussed and nor am I an expert on tires, but I think there is a lack of range of sound depending on what the tires are doing. Hope this makes sense.

Amen to that.... The lack of variety(tire noise) is a bit annoying IMO, and it looks like it's here to stay.

First race in the Event section is on Daytona, couple of things:
There's an option for a "guide" to the course, but you have to download this and it takes a while (I didn't bother, will try later).
You can't turn on stability assist (traction you can if you want) and you're stuck on R3 tyres. Whether this is for all events, I don't know yet.
EDIT:
After more time it seems the tyres change depending on the event, some are S3, others Racing. Time trails are interesting in that you have a time limit to set a time, although you can restart if you want at any time. There are also other cars on the track during the trials, and the gold times seem to pose a decent challenge (you'll have to use "standard" setting on simulation, although it seems you can use professional to get gold in every other event).

I see you have gotten your code. I decided to wait for the NA version...(please come!).
I want to ask if there is an option to do a track meet like in GT4, and not really race, just you and the track (and some cars that you can choose to race if you want to...)
