I have a demo disc (PAL version) that's not Euro Demo or anything. it comes in this white paper disc holder, which is shiny and, when held in light, has a PS1 printed on it. it has the GT2 demo on it (with the Lancer, Mustang and Coupé as drivable cars) along with other demos like Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Spyro 2, Crash Bandicoot carts and Bugs Bunny. I don't know how I got it, but I thought I'd mention it.

Here is the most interesting thing, the PERMIT MODE. As said its about, when you cannot earn a licence, you could race in this mode.
Also has been said here, that some circuit like Le Mans has to be in the game (long circuit for endurance races)

First Pic: The Audi A4 Avant, XK180 and Escort GTI aren't even in the game files. The XJR Vehicle name was given to another car and the car in the pic became a XJR15 in the final version. There are bodies in the game files for the E55 and the Elise with black top.
Second Pic: The Proto Spyder made it into the game as a PT Spyder. I'm sure I've seen a RUF Turbo R in my NTSC version, though there are quite a few hidden RUF bodies in the game files (like the BTR4).
Third Pic: WTF is that wacky Subaru 360 that looks like a VW Beetle on big wheels? Also, there is a Toyota Altezza body in the game files using the Rex VX Supercharger logo. And there's the Subaru Pleo RM which looks a lot like the real Rex VX Supercharger, and has a 7 speed transmission as its Stage 3 tranny. About the Polos, the first one is a hidden car and you can GameShark for it, the second one isn't in the game files.

Eiger Path = Grindelwald?
Seeing as google returns result of something in Alps, newer GT shots look somewhat similar and Grindelwald's not listed in the pic.

1st pic: the game has only their logos in the game (for Escort and XK180).
Im not sure about Mercedes cars. I didnt use them much, so i cant remember which were in the game.
2nd pic: Pronto Spyder has turbocharger (from wikipedia), but in the final game the PT Spyder it has NA engine, thats the difference. :-)
3rd pic: I must try that 7 speed Pleo ! (wikipedia says something like the Pleo is succesor to the Rex)
Eiger Path is Eiger Nordwand in GT5P/GT5.
Grindelwald is another (?)Suisse(?) circuit.
But as i see now, the Grindelwald isn't on the list, so you might be right. :-)
Forgot to write it.. does anybody know what is the circuit model in picture 3 in white box ? some rally course ? (surely its the same circuit but from 2 view angles)

And to clear up this Eiger and Grindelwald thing, Grindelwald is a village, Eiger Nordwand is a mountain, near to Grindelwald. So it's nearly the same.

Interesting, thank you very much for uploading that, Karelpipa. I'm sure I saw the Scorpion somewhere though, I remember it clearly, maybe it was in a Toca 2 feature.
I find it interesting how the Monte Carlo Rally Mini is painted white/silver instead of red though.

I think you're right with the Avant, i think that too.
Xenn, when i was reading it for the first time (i was some 10 years old that time), I did not find anything strange on it :-D
I think i wrote that directly into the post with scans?
Tahiti Dirt Route 2 is Tahiti Maze. Only question is, where is Dirt Route 1? Some scrapped track ?
And North American Roadway is Green Forest Roadway as i think. (the number close to name of the respective course is its difficulty.

I can assure you, that in ToCA2 it was a pain in the ass the Grinnall. :-)
With that Mini, maybe Xenn can find this livery in game files :-) (didn't the real Mini had both of the liveries ?)
Also, the original scans are bigger, but if someone wants them, i will send them via megaupload (haha ACTA joke :-)

Kind of a stupid question, but are you saying there are more mini's hidden in the game?
Me and Xenn are working on body modding and we are trying to make the Subaru 360's tires the way it is in the picture. No kidding!
Also can you PM me about how your viewing the game files on the disc? I would like to know!

Just had another look at these scans and I noticed that the Polo G40 was planned to be in the game
I find this particularly interesting as, to my knowledge, it's never been mentioned or speculated about before. Only the Mk4 1.4 16v, interesting. Maybe it was never meant to be in the game at all, could just be an error in printing. Still interesting
