So what's GTPs predictions for the first race of the season.
I honestly don't know how to take this one. But all I'm going to say is I think Williams will be the strongest team ;).

You lucky biatch :grumpy: :P . Try and take some pics will you? Wearing green or are you going to be the odd ozzie out not wearing green?
Hopefully I'm going to the French GP (time permitting).

I think it will be Williams who cross the line first on Sunday, but it will be between them and Ferrari. I think that Renault will be fighting with McLaren and BAR and Jaguar and Toyota will be guning it out for the final scraps for points :).

OOOOOOOHMMMMM

Montoya first, Raikonen Second, Couthard third.... ooooohhhhmmmm
Both ferraris out due to mechanical failures... ooooohhhhmmmm
Ralf Shumacher of in the first corner.... oooooohhhhmmmm
mild rain halfway tough the race... oooohhhhmmm

Of course... I could be wrong...
:P

actually, most of the crowd wears red. very big italian population in melbourne.

my prediction, im gonna say ferrari but something in the back of my head says couthard. i have a feeling couthard might win the title. something about his attitude this year, perhaps he can kick kimi out of mclaren or make JPM third driver. doubt it, but id like to see it. if there is anyone who deserve a championship, its DC (or webber)

still, its way too unpredictable, thats what i luve about melbourne, its a tricky track

Is the race this sunday?!

I predict there will be a race between our aussie V8's vs The F1 car's.
Nah, really I reckon David Coulthard will win( Hope so:))

DC has a couple of Melbourne victories to his name, mainly through being watchful and ensuring that he's there when the flag falls. Which is certainly what happened last year.

I think Williams will win on longevity, after some McLaren expiry. I don't expect Ferrari to be on the pace in race trim.

Geez, its hard pick a winner in any competition in the first round but i'm gona have to go for a close one between ferrari and williams with webber (hopefully) doing well (shameless aussie patriotism).

I will but its a bit hard to get any decent pictures unless you have a grandstand seat, right Giles? (fences are around 4-5M high)

Will be wearing green, at least a hat, for Friday and Saturday, but on Sunday it'll be red

Not only are they so high, it's the sheer gauge of the metal in the wires! Plays havoc with the autofocus.

You want to see a couple of my pics from last year?

yeah i know what u mean. i tried to get some photos at last years gold coast indy, but they were all crap due to the wire. you could barely see the cars. the only time i got a decent shot was when i was REALLY close (as in bout 1m away from the track).

BOO!!!! :grumpy: :P .
You gonna change to greeen though if Webber sticks it in the top three for qualifying though? :D (yeah right  )

Catcg fencing is a real biatch when it comes to photos. Le Mans used to bne great for photos, until the catchfencing was put up. As I guess you guys know, that you can only really shoot infront of you, as if you try and take a picture from the sideways long shot, you tend to just get the blur of the catchfencing  . That's why the Revival and Festival of speed are so good for photographs :D ;).
