Why do some pregnant women wear tight clothing, or show their fat pregnant bellies? I personally think it's so looks so freaking hideous, and trashy! What ever happened to being modest during a pregnancy? GEEEZ OH PEATS!

The reason why I'm venting is on the way home from work today I saw a white pregnant woman wearing clothing that exposes her fat belly.

:ill::ill::ill:
:yuck::yuck::yuck:

Tight fitting, meh. You can't wear XXXXL sweatshirts for the second half. But exposing the belly, that's a bit much.

Yeah, I think people should be more modest in general. The only thing worst than ms. pregnant in a camisole is blubberella in a camisole.

Pregnancy is "in" right now. It's supposed to be sexy to be pregnant - fashionable even.

If she literally had her stomach exposed then yes, that's a bit much. However I find nothing wrong at all with a pregnant woman wearing a tight fitting shirt that's tight around the stomach. I mean, unless they wear some shirt out of a rap video, it's bound to be sort of tight.

I find some pregnant women to look sexy as hell. If they were fat before the pregnancy then chances are I don't think that. I personally find my wife, who's 8 months pregnant, very attractive. Of course I always do, but this is our second baby, and sometimes I think she looks even better with that huge stomach poking out...

It's weird. Someday you may understand, or you might have some fat preggo wife and think to yourself, "that Josh was a dumbass."

Yeah, look at all the magazines these days.... Everyones popping out kids.

Maybe they just don't buy new cloths. I don't see people complaining about woman wearing tight cloths when they're not pregnant.

:)

Pako may have hit it. Clothes usually aren't free, and not knowing her situation, it may just be beyond her means to acquire an entire maternity wardrobe just to protect your sensibilities and ease your passage through life. What was once a baggy t-shirt and cool jeans just ain't cuttin' it no more.

They may not be doing it to show their fat pregnant bellies, they may just not have anything else.

For a second I thought this was about pregnant women smoking (which could be for another discussion...which also pisses me off to no end)

Just be modest and I won't care.

Some gals can pull it off, others can't. It all depends. I really don't want to see your stretch marks and veins, but a pregnant woman can be beautiful in her own right. I don't think we should deny them the opportunity to wear what they want because of it...

If it makes them feel good then they should where whatever they like. When I was pregnant fashion was pretty non existant. Tent dresses and big shirts and lots of florals :yuck:. It wasn't very pretty. When you are pregnant you feel fat and ugly and fat and ugly clothing doesn't help the situation.

There are plenty of blokes that get around wearing next to nothing that shouldn't be allowed either. Fat guys with beer bellies that make them look 20months pregnant and wearing short shorts is really wrong. Same as fat chicks wearing hipster jeans with their g-strings showing and fat hanging over the sides.

Some people find pregnant women sexually attractive.

Just thought I'd throw that in there.

On the subject, it doesn't particularly bother me what they do or do not wear. I can't moderate it, right?

It's Chav Fashion.

Chavs can't bear not to be fashionable, and they don't make Rockport pregnancy wear. So they wear the same stuff they usually do - white peaked golfer's cap, twisted gold hoop earrings, black puffer jacket with a pink shirt of some variety underneath and black pedal pushers with bright white or pink trainers. And a white thong, the top of which is visible at the back. All adorned with various fake-fur, gold and burberry accessories.

This stuff can only stretch so far, and the net result is a visible gunt (do not look this word up) as the waistband gives up and shrinks ever lower.

And because Chavs can't do anything but breed, you see lots of teen Chav girls looking like this. And they will breed an army and outnumber us all.

"her fat belly?"

Um, it's called a baby.

I looked at the thread title and thought, oh dear someone hasn't had the talk...

I find it rather bizarre that someone can be offended by the sight of a pregnant woman's belly - if your modesty is offended by the sight of a woman's belly, then perhaps you need to get out more...! And whatever you do, don't turn on the TV!

I wonder if frestkd thinks public breast feeding (that isn't breast feeding the public btw) is a horrible thing, too?

I have no problem with pregnant women wearing tight clothing. As long as there gut is showing I don't see anything wrong. I find that pregant women who are naturally slim will wear tight clothing, while those who are slightly bigger will wear something baggy.

I see nothing wrong with pregnant women showing their belly, it's pretty common here. Some are even sexy. :)

I have no problem with it, honestly, as long as their belly isn't being shown outside the shirt. With pregnant women, all you see is a round belly which isn't really gross. But what is gross are these obese pigs who wear tight clothes so you can see every wrinkle in their fat.

I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I agree with Pako, they wouldn't buy new clothes just to wear for 5 or so months. If they feel like wearing a T-Shirt, and don't have a huge one because they're not always pregnant then why can't they? Though they could show consideration and wear a loose dress or something.

According to my wife, If you're pregnant, nothing fits right.

It's like wearing a body cast, and expecting your clothes to look right.

Negative.

Old clothes don't fit right. New clothes definitely can, especially if you shop a store that designs clothes specifically for pregnant women.
