Problem with game sound.

Recently, I purchaced Alchohol 120%. And I also Re-installed Max payne. And when I was playing Max payne, their arent any sound effect (Dialouge from the graphic novel etc.)

Ive tried the following:

1. Tried it without Alchohol 120% with it patched/un-patched.
2. Uninstalled Max payne etc.

Any help would be apprecatied.

Reinstall you sound card drivers and make sure all of your volume levels are turned up in the Sound Properties.

Is it only with May Payne or other things as well?

Just Max payne. Nothing more.

if you burnt max payne instead of buying it the sound isnt there because it got ripped out by the guys who do that for people to download it. but if it is a legit copy or the real thing then somethings messed up. only sound problems i've had with games is when they use EAX but dont have an option switch to wave playback , ie freedom fighters, if your comp doesnt support EAX then run dxdiag and turn off sound acceleration.
