Problems and Questions (Yamaha DT125 2 Stroke) - New Problem Post #15

Yeah, highlight for me was being pulled over for speeding on one.

Officer (with dog): "You were doing 67 in a 60 limit there sonny jim"

Me: "Why that's impossible officer, this is a 50cc"

Officer: "Hmmm...... that is a fizzy, isn't it.... OK, where would you like to produce your documents, which station?"

Me: "For the record, how fast do you think I was going again?"

:irked:👍

You troll you, I'm sure that officer loved you.

Back on the DT the clutch cable has snapped now after being hung on a thread whilst I had to go to an interview (90 mile round trip). For once, I got some luck and it only snapped when I adjusted it at home after the journey.

Fixed, finally the thing is in good mechanical condition (words of the mechanic who's become a good friend also). Give it another week for another thing to go wrong.

Hey Dragon.
You might want to check if something is obstructing the oil supply to the engine. That might be the cause of you sticking float.

Also, you might want to get your spark plug checked as it might be damaged from running lean or rich over a longer period.

I know I'm way, way late on this (as I thought this thread was as good as dead) but I may as well check in now and say that all problems seem to be ironed out and the bike is running well to work and back every day. Soon however I'm hoping to sell it or part ex it, I have my theory test tomorrow and am looking to do Direct Access within the month (booked I just need to not fail theory). After a DRZ400 SM for the new year.
