This is a Aston Martin DB3 Coupe Special and built for Tom Meyer in 1953 (not my own knowledge but Google helped me

I got these shots during Friday Practise for the Historic Grand Prix Car Assocation (HGPCA) meeting at Brands hatch in summer 2016. This would be an ideal car for PC2 - we currently have no front engine GP cars. This one has a great view of the road ahead with a high up driving position with the gearbox between the legs and the drive shaft under the seat. The sound of the two litre straight six is glorious and handling with cross ply tyres, transverse leaf spring suspension and 150bhp is easier than F1 cars of the period - it could be a great training car for a Vanwall, Mercedes or Maserati F1 car.

In 1952 and 1953, due to a lack of F1 entries, the World Championship was for F2 cars and Mike Hawthorn took 4th place in the 1952 standings in a Cooper Bristol. Other famous drivers of this car included Reg Parnell, Ken Wharton and Bob Gerard.
