I'm in the same boat with the AI, I'm using a wheel and currently at 80% with aggression at 50%. I need to go higher I guess. What is your AI settings at?

I haven't found a sweet spot yet. Did the Daytina race with 80 AI and the aggression was pretty high up, but I was still being outpaced by most of the field.

I have a new favourite! In the first game the Mercedes Benz 300 SL was a dead loss - wooden, lifeless, dull and slow, but my oh my - SMS have transformed it into one of the most enjoyable cars in the game. It no longer handles on rails - it 4 wheel drifts, 2 wheel drifts, rolls and generally does everything a great, old, classic sports car should do! SMS have changed the transmission so it no longer has a yawning chasm between 3rd and 4th gears. The sound is absolutely perfect with a sonorous straight six exhaust and the hesitancy from an imitation period double de-clutching gear change. Even the oil temperature gauge needle moves around the dial. It can sing its way up to 144mph and is absolutely perfect on the classic / historic tracks in the game like Historic Spa, Rouen Les Essarts Short, Classic Silverstone etc. It has to be experienced at Knockhill which is absolutely perfect for this car. In fact I was so impressed that I created an online race series especially for this car (and a couple of the other older classics). I hope you can all join me at Knockhill for round one of my new historic series "1950's The Career"

I like so many combos. But today took the Ferrari 488 GT3/GTE along with 31 other Ferrari 488GT3s out in CotA and Monza and I must say the handling and that noise of all of them! This car is awesome. For added realism @BrainsBush try 8.00am (overcast) it reduces the contrast down and makes it all feel more realistic. 👍

I love the Ferrari 488 at Monza. Like you said, the sound and the handling.

I had one of my best races ever tonight in that car. I'm falling in love with this game.

For me so far, it has to be the Sauber C9 around Le mans. Even though it is the modern track the FFB, the noise and the behaviour of engine, Chassis, and gearbox is absolutely authentic and amazing. I urge you to unleash it´s potential there!

So far, Car(it's getting tough):

- '81 280 ZX
- TCR Megane
- 240ZG

Track:
This is impossible

Combo:
So much experimenting.
One of the reasons why I love this game.

See? I knew some crap like this, was going to happen.
I was happily using the Megane TCR at Zhuhai. Watched some replays and all was good. So, I decide to choose Silverstone National. Just to check out the replay camera angles.
After my first race, set at 8am, everything looked cool, from the Start camera through the lap. I then decide to run at 5pm. When i go to choose my car, it "just happened" to be in the Jaguar list. I click on the Gr.C1 #21 and think why not, I've been avoiding them since I tested the GTP ZX.
Set up Multyi-class with GT1 & GTO classes, 31 AII, 5 laps. HOLY HELL!! FUN, FUN, FUN!
I always felt these cars were to fast for me. The #21 Jag drives so good. Handles, sounds, looks so sweet. I'm addicted. Don't know when I'll be getting back to TCR. Knew this would happen...

I was driving it in spa today, 35 laps with the typical ardennes weather. Its sensational among the other group c monsters.

The Lamborghini Diablo GTR around Bathurst is one of my favorites. That car has wicked ffb, is very well balanced and screams like a banshee. Love it.

Ferrari 488 GT3 or GTE @ Red Bull is one of my favourite combos at the moment. But in general Brands Hatch and ANYTHING brings a smile to my face. I just love that track.

XXI
'69 Camaro up California highway is a nice break from the big circuits.
I like the idea of Azure Coast and being some rich snob. I'll drive it forward during the day starting in the harbor and then up the mountain followed by a reverse run at late afternoon to night with the idea that I'm heading down the mountain to show off my car in town under the lights.

Had a blast playing in the R32 Skyline with HKS livery on Bathurst last night. 10 lap with 4 weather changes, Sunny, Cloud, Rain, Sunny. Just such a fun car and feels like such a challenge.

Once I got some settings dialled in, namely the brake Bias as, which for some reason it was set to 60% rear, it was just such a fun race. The h-shifter with this car just feels so intuitive and adds to the engaging experience. It's not all about fast lap times but the experience of driving the car. The dynamics of cars changing in the wet really are this games USP. Love it.

Really hope patch 3 fixes the audio, aliasing and a few setup/hud glitches then I'll be a happy man.

Going from GT Sport to this and back again really shows the issues it has but also shows it's strengths, namely FFB and driving challenge.

Holy crap guys, you HAVE try this one!!!

Time trial
Snetterton 100
BMW 2002 Turbo

car setup: completely stock (the car comes with all-weather tires)
I’m on PS4 Pro with the DualShock controller, completely stock controller settings!

Now start lapping this baby. After 1round or so when you get used to the car and the rubber got some heat you can seriously drift around so nice and so controlled with this car! Again, I’m on a controller with the absolute stock settings. I am no drifter at all but this car started drifting a bit on its own, kinda like an invitation. Well I accepted the invitation, massive fun! No need for the handbrake at all, come into a corner, start turning and you will hear the rear wheels gently asking for a drift. You can control the drift very nice with the steering wheel and the gas. Really really fun! Especially in the last long turn.

Again, especially if you are not a drifter or hate drifting, this one is for you! :)

I had a race at spa historic in the 2002 turbos in light rain the car is just amazing i wish i had found out sooner.

My favorite would be the Lotus 98T @ Imola turn mechanical damage off stick the boost on 100% close the radiator duct foot to the floor and just hold on lmao

The #84 240ZG has got me hooked right now. Running at every track(even dirt tracks). Looks good in replays, sounds good. Can't keep pace with the Camaro, Jag and 365, but good scraps with the Red Pig and SW2002.

Definitely the Ferrari 488 GTE and I'm torn between tracks but I would say it's a tie between Imola and Sugo. I just love all three sectors at Sugo.

With a few hundred hours in the game now, I have attempted to trim away some of the fat and really buckle down on a few car and track combos to get every last ounce out of them. I put together a chart detailing the time, date, weather conditions, car setup and ideal ffb settings for each combo so they can be recreated under the exact same preferences each time along with my top times as my car setups improve. I foolishly thought I could narrow it down to 3-4 combos that I couldn't do without, but ended up with a list of 50 cars and 42 tracks that can't be narrowed down any further. I set them at 30 laps, sometimes with changing weather every 8-10 laps. I simply wish to find my limits on my favorite cars and I have been given too many options. I love this game.

The 2002 Audi R8 (LMP900) and 2003 Bentley Speed 8 (LMP900) are great fun to race at Circuit de la Sarthe with a full field of Group C and GTE opponents. Set the race length to 45+ minutes with a day/night cycle. Opponent difficulty should be set to 100% with aggressiveness where you prefer. Full damage with mechanical failures. The LMP900 cars will be slower than most Group C cars in a single lap fight but they will be better on tires and have the fuel efficiency affording fewer stops. The threat of damage and a wasted race really make you look after the car and tires.

The last time I did this race (90 minutes race) I was in the Audi and qualified 9th with a 3:33 (13 seconds slower than a Merc C9) and ended up winning the race by 61 seconds. I set up my pit strategies before the race so I could double stint tires and fix or not fix damage. I constantly had to mind the time gaps and didn't know exactly where I was in the standing until the latter part of the race. The GTE cars played a big part as the polesitting C9 had a big shunt with a BMW M6 going into the first Mulsanne straight chicane while attempting to chase me down.

The whole experience is amazing since you don't have an actual engineer/strategist feeding you info over the radio and have to solve the problems yourself.

'66 Mustang @ Nurb Full
Escort( Racing) @the Glen
Stanceworks 2002- trying various tracks now. This thing is serious. In PC1, it wasn't a favorite. In PC2 though, 9100rpm, inner front wheel lifting off the ground, that ear piercing engine. Fantastic!
