The only way SMS can really obviously outshine the official NASCAR game is if they get a good variety of ovals and a variety of NASCAR series.

They really don't need that though. NASCAR on GT5/6 outshine the ETX NASCAR game's. And it was only two ovals on those games and half of the driver roster. Yea sound wasn't accurate along with the speed but it was a much better experience racing on ovals with NASCAR'S on GT game's than a official NASCAR game.
If it all works out like you said I can see SMS picking up the NASCAR official license in the near future.I'm pretty sure they will.
Also I'm gonna say this real quick. SMS has a real good opportunity to get the NASCAR fan base on their side if they do a good job with the NASCAR's on the ovals. That's if 704games (the guys that make the NASCAR game's currently) don't release a great NASCAR game. But if they release a barbones or buggy NASCAR game again then you'll start seeing everyone make their way to project cars 2. Of course project cars 2 looks super incredible so far with all the other things but I'm just talking about the opportunity they got with the NASCAR's.

I meant for the people properly into NASCAR. For us Daytona, Indy and Motegi was good. However, for them, they want more NASCAR and the official game provides that. They really don't need that though. The biggest challenge was getting the car to behave progressively at the limit so that you feel some front tyre slip on the way into the corner, and controllable oversteer on the way out.

I think they are open to it. We'll see. It did just leak today that Nascar Heat 2 (Idk the name) will have all 3 national series so that is a step up. The physics are so wrong though that I do not see how they could fix them if they keep the same mindset for the 2nd game.
Wait a minute.....a leak for the Xfinity and truck series to be in NASCAR 17? Where you heard this from?
Haven't watched the video cause I'm at work and don't want the whole office hearing ha.
Ooohhh man! I'm not go get hyped though.... Yet. Lol
I never imagined when I was a kid, drooling over Lamborghini Countach and Porsche 911 posters on my bedroom wall, that I'd be able to simulate thrashing sports cars around race tracks with extreme physical accuracy.
Hi Ian,
What news about career in pcars2 ? because many players have not found interest in career mode in pcars1.
In Pcars2,
1 ) Solo career organisation: i remembered a new career organisation. Is it ready in solo ?
2 ) unlocked stuff : Many players have asked for things to unlock to give interest in this mode.
=> What do you think about special liveries to unlock in career ? like logitech pack
=> What do you think about manufacturer liveries ? mclaren liveries or ferrari, etc.
plus : all cars are/stay playable. A player who sees color in online wants to make career mode.
easy to make for SMS ;-)
Cons : nothing ;-)
3) Co-op mode progress since this post ? still no.
4) Online Multiplayer features : is it ready ?
thanks.
But those new ideas are for pCARS 3, right? Isn't this the time for polishing and bug fixing and the new features are not going to make it in from this point on? I remember in the last 6 month of pCARS 1 it was mostly about that and maybe some small tweaks and features but nothing majorly different. As a fellow WMD, I just can say that you'll play this one. I was one of the ones who did not find Career in PC1 interesting and I'm loving what I see so far and the new ideas being discussed.

I think the first games career just needed to be developed more with more stats and more achievements or something to make you feel you're progressing. I liked the structure but it felt a little barebones. The feedback you got from your team was always the same or similar, not enough variety. I wonder if this game follows the same principle and just has more "meat" or it's a different concept altogether.Things that are not currently in-game but really need to be, SMS decides if they include that or not. Sometimes can happen as it did with PC1.
Can't comment on what's in and what's not, though. But this week was my personal first attempt to the career and I'm more than pleasant about it. Although, shame on me, I should've tried it before!
I think I'm going to like driving that.
No he/she won't*You will .
Somewhere.Touring cars.....where are they?
Somewhere.
on the bottom of the beautiful brimy. Shimmery shiny sea. Bobbing along, singing a song. Oh wait, it's not that is it?...touring around...
