Project Cars 2 on PS5 disconnecting controller issue

Please can anyone help me! I’m trying to play PC2 on a PS5 on a Fanatec GT Pro and keep getting a page saying ‘Controller disconnected, please connect and try again’! I press the X button on my wheel, it goes back to the game at what ever window I have open at that time for a second or 2 and then it goes back to the controller disconnected page again!!! Just keeps going in a circle and nothing I do seems to make it stop! I have a ps5 controller also connected but it doesn’t seem to care!!! lol Would really appreciate it if someone had an answer. I’ve even tried uninstalling and installing again, but does the same thing. Also have tried the base on PS4/PS5 comp mode but still the same. Thanks

Have you tried the 'purple' mode (forget what it is called). That has always worked for me on PC2.

Then there is an oddity of timing of switching controllers on when opening PC2. Best is go to purple, close any games, reboot the PS and then open PC2.
