What is DirtFish? Just a rally cross track?

I get they had to add the historic ovals, and when thinking about newer tracks it makes sense to choose COTA. If they chose Long Beach to satisfy one street track (since many US series use them) they made a good choice.

Personally I don't like the oval "road courses" that much. I'd rather some real road courses like Road Atlanta, Mid-Ohio, and VIR. I'd honestly be okay with them scrapping Willow Springs. I never liked that track, especially the last "no apex" turn.

Edit: Lime Rock and Canadian Motorsports Park are nice but very plain and simple, like Oulton. Sure there's some elevation change but there's better options. Now, the Canadian track that F1 runs at would be really good to have. Super fast with close barriers and the "wall of champions" to boot.
It also makes sense to have the Daytona road course since thats basically a IMSA, Continental Tire, And WEC regular. As for the other oval road courses i can agree i haven't seen them that much.

Ian Bell has just announced that Classic Le Mans will be coming as DLC in the new game in this stream! :D

Edit: Go to about 1:55.00, during the NasCAR race at Daytona, to hear it mentioned.....Lots of DLC coming appearently too!!

Also we learnt from this stream that Mr Bell started smoking when he was 10 years old, has had girlfriends in most parts of the world, and once had a crash while reversing his car in Spain! :dopey:

Goddammit. I go to get dinner and he does that.

1. How come the yellow sausage kerbs at Red Bull Ring aren't existent in Project Cars 2?
2. Why are the double yellow lines at Daytona so skinny and far apart from each other?
3. Why does the majority of Daytona appear to be weathered with cracks in the track surface?
I thought they laser scanned these new tracks, but they still look inaccurate.

1. Those are specific to certain series, not a permanent feature.
2. Laser scanning isn't texture scanning. The surface shapes will be absolutely accurate but that doesn't dictate perfection in texturing.
3. Atmosphere.

Ah, the hamster returns! Time to give AC a break for a little while then? Might see you on track

You bet mate, i'll be around for some racing!! Can't wait!

Busy building my strength up already! ;)

I toured Daytona in June and the track service texture is way off. I know it really don't matter but just saying.

Thank you for replying to my questions! That really means a lot to me. I am very excited to start up the games tonight at midnight, but something as simple as double yellow lines shouldn't be messed up in my opinion. I know a ton of effort has gone into the game, but small things like that sort of bother me. Also, I'd like to know which series' remove the yellow kerbs at Red Bull Ring.

I meant surface * Is not to big of difference thought. Surface is a hair darker IRL and there are not as mean cracks IRL

I believe they removed some between practice sessions for the F1 race. They're basically dangerous for low right height cars.

Edit, yes: https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/fia-modifies-red-bull-ring-kerbs-927885/

To me, the atmosphere of the circuits, are so much better than PC1. Zhuhai is even more awesomer. :)
