VR, sure.

PS VR2 specifically, not so sure. Like all other non-GT7 racing games, I’ll believe it when I see it. Even with the large price cut the headset just doesn’t sell in big enough numbers, and so the majority of games developed for it are low budget shovelware and Meta ports.

Getting back to the announcement, I'm more excited by the potential circuits rather than the cars.

Hopefully the odds are higher now, since PSVR2 is supported by PC. I feel bad for sim racers on PS5. It's such a great headset for the money.

Ian Bell said that they are looking into psvr2 and want to make it happen, but can’t promise it.

I think we can’t bump it to at least 25% chances. ;)

I hope it does happen, but I think it's likely they'll prioritise PC VR as there is a bigger userbase.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Project Motor Racing to Feature Golden Age of GT Racing

Straight4 Studios has revealed the first big piece of content news in the pre-launch period of Project Motor Racing, announcing that the 2004/2005 GT Championship will be coming to the title...

If we are essentially getting GTR2 re-mastered plus, a whole heap of more modern cars/tracks/features, that would be amazing.

People - Why can't GT7 have more modern race cars.

Project Motor Racing - Hold my beer.

If it's modern race cars you want you're spoiled for choice on PC- which will be PMR's primary and most popular platform. They've clearly identified a niche (presumably more than one) and are working to fill it. Which is probably good because the "GT3 at Spa" space is very, very crowded.

I totally agree with this. Choosing a specific era of GT racing is a great choice. Sometimes a curated list of cars works better than a bajillion different cars. At least in my opinion.

I remember not long ago. Maybe 10 years or slightly longer. Thinking how great it would be if GT series could have the major European Sports cars/race cars. Now that we have had those for many years now and with those cars being major focus for most car games. They do tend to become to common place and mundane. If Project Motorsports does focus on classic racing and maybe more then just sports cars. That would be pretty epic. Classic Lemans, maybe CamAm, TransAM. Would love to see IROC series.

GT series for me is done with. Do not believe will buy another PlayStation or GT game ever. The economy scale or lack there of is what has really finally pushed me over the edge. All be damned if I spend 20 to 40 hours of mindless grinding to just get one or two top tier cars. With no hope of ever purchasing most of them. Along with the fact that on the premiuos that at the core function of the game has not changed must since GT1. GT series will never have full damage like the project car series. Really is to bad though. Without that much programming GT series could still be a decent game. I may dust it off once every few months just for some photo sessions that is about it.

Indy cars at Long Beach was great to watch this weekend. AMS2 does great job with the open cockpit cars. Can really get the sensation of flying a fighter jet at ground level. Did a few laps at Long Beach in lower tier open cockpit just to see what it is like. Have not really raced that circuit. Definitely would need to be very skilled for that track.

Just noticed on traxion news site, that pmr will unveil more info and independent hands-on impressions later this week, supposedly.
And a reveal event on 29th.

There's a press preview tomorrow in Zurich
I feel like I finally, after years and years, got a gaming PC at the proper time. Also pre-ordered the Big Screen Beyond 2. I can't overstate how much I'm looking forward to some seriously good VR sim racing in the coming months.

The first shots of the Morgan have been shared (yesterday):

This game really excites me, the GT cars from that period are filling me with nostalgia for the TOCA Race Driver 3 British GT class.

PC VR is mentioned on the Steam page, there is nothing as yet about PS VR2 on the PS5.

Cars: From today’s radical LMDh Hypercars to history’s most iconic legends, each vehicle is a licensed masterpiece
Not just a retro racer. Hypercars and GT3s from the current era, 1970s sports cars and the previously mentioned mid-2000s GTs.

Oh no, it is happening again: I jump immediately onto the Hype train! 🤪 It sounds to good to be true but I want it for sure...
