Feeling very edgy about Ipswich's play off hopes, points dropped by Wolves and Charlton help, but with our poor performances lately have made it very hard... 13 points out of 15 is imperative for us I think. Course the referee standards haven't helped. We made it 1-0 at QPR but according to the linesmen the ball wasn't over the line, since been proved it has. We equalised against Colchester with an onside goal but ruled offside which was wrong. And against Cardiff we made it 2-1 but it was ruled off for a push that the ref couldn't even say who pushed who, from the looks of it it was just the usual shoving that goes on too.

Ha, Cheltenham beat Donny to keep themselves in the league and we beat Yeovil to get promoted! :D

Drat and double drat. I hate Calderwood with a passion! I cannot say how much without breaking some sort of rules on here. Im going to miss my annual trip up to the City Ground to see the us nearly beat you.

Feel sorry for the Cheeries. Win 6 on the bounce then only get a draw and go down.

Next year, I hope, Northampton Town will be in this thread after being promoted.

Welp, that's Leagues One & Two sorted...the only dampner on League One is Leeds making it to the play offs lol. Championship tomorrow...and as an Ipswich fan, I'm hoping for the best but expecting the not-so best.

Hope your club has ambition, selling players for money is all well and good but not replacing them with equal or better quality will cost you big.

Well our manager is top quality. Hes working on a budget smaller than i'd say the top 5 ok CCL2. We have a 20man squad of which 3 are youth and signed youth contracts this season: 1 in Jan and 2 in March. Another is a Loanee. This season we have had i'd say 4 loan players. Dan Jones, Mark Little (Wolves) Alex Russell (Bristol City) and Jonathan Hayes. Considerring 75% of the fans say Little is one of the best defenders ever to play for the club and 99% want to sign Jonesy and Little on again next year shows he has an eye for talent. He signed Gabor Gypes and Adbeyo Akinfenwa in mid season. Beyo went on to scored 6/6 games and Gypes has been solid a him and Little kept more clean sheets since Jan than the start of the season. The club is pushing for the stadium redevelopment which we have been pushing for fo years. But its typical of this town they said they would redevelop the town center 4 years ago and nothing has happend.

As for the Manager if you ever hear him he says 'push on' and 'ambition' and 'reaction' alot. He talks the talk and seeming walks the walk. Dec/Jan/Feb were the turning points of our season. We were flirting with relegation and he brough Beyo and Gabor and Little in aswell as selling our them top goal scorer, Andy Kirk (8 goals), on a free transfer. This may sound stupid but Kirk was the top earner and this freed up funds to sign Little, Beyo and Gypes, they didnt cost anything but there wage was not small.

Also in Jan one of our main players (came 3rd in our player of the year vote) Jason Crowe trun down a 300k move to Plymouth. However our CM Brad Johnson left us for Leeds (250K). Mark Bunn (2nd in player of the year vote) had a two day training session at Man City on Monday and 3 Prem clubs are said to chase him. Hes been called best keeper (Young and English anyway) outside the prem. Gabor Gypes is signed on for next year however he has been followed by Hull and QPR. This year Alex Dyer, Liam Dolman, Chris Dunn, Mark Bunn and Greg Taylor are all youth teamer who have played or been around the first team this year. Along with young players like Ryan Gilligan and Giles Coke (who rejected QPR to come to us in the summer) its been a good season.

Only bad note of the season in Poul Hubertz leaving. Top goalscorer with 13 he has decided to go back to Denmark. For he was the player of the season. Very good player and caused alot of trouble. Good luck to him.

We shall 'push on' and next year we will be better.

Edit :Sureshot, read paragraph 3 👍
Edit v2: We have come along way from 2 years ago when Colin Calderwood left and gutted the club of all but 2 of its staff. Left us right in the crap. I hope he loses his job soon. I've heard that even if he got the club up he would lose his job.

Farsley Celtic is the team you're missing from the Blue Square Premier League relegation spots.

Altrincham may yet again survive relegation after finishing in the bottom 4 if Halifax Town get wound up, which is looking increasingly likely to happen.

Massive respect for Dino Maamria at Northwich Victoria. Became their 3rd manager of the season after they'd played around 13 games. Rock bottom of the BSP with 3 points from 19 games in November he managed to mastermind the greatest escape ever, the Vics finishing 4 points clear of the relegation zone!

Cheers, I usually go by SkySports and despite the Blue Square PL being on their Live Score Center they don't actually have a section for it so I tend to forget.

BSPL Play Off 1st legs are up too.

I'd like to mention Kettering Town if I can as they are going up into the BSP as they won BSNorth. They are local-ish to me so I thought i'd mention is. For balance, Lewes won BSSouth.

Well well, Stoke clinch promotion to the Premier League with a 0-0 draw against Leicester which sends them down. Im glad I will have a big team in CCL1 again to replace my trip to forest.
