My PS3 has been acting up lately. :(

Basically I've tried 2 different Scart cables, and A HDMI cable on 2 different TVs and another PS3. With the obvious problem being my PS3.

Basically when I go onto the Scart source on my TV, I get nothing but a mass of distorted White pixels. It works sometimes but shortly after it becomes distorted and crashes again. :(

All the equipment involved (cables, TVs etc) have all worked fine when used on anywhere else except my PS3.
I'm getting really worried. :scared:

Any suggestions, (please!!!)?
I'm leaving it to cool down for now and I'll try it again later.

Maybe the GPU is overheating, try hoovering it out from the vents to see if it allows more airflow in. I say this because you said it works sometimes for a period of time then crashes again.

Apart from that I don't know, but good luck :)

I'll definitely try that immediately.
Thanks a lot :);)

Now theres just no signal being registered through the Scart.
And, I can't turn my PS3 off by pressing the power button :(

I used to have a load of colored snow appear on my screen randomly but then a change of HDMI cords solved it. I see you've tried that though so I'm not sure.

If it was a fat I would say it is overheating but now I'm not sure...try ringing sony to see what they say if no one here knows?

I'd say its garbage unfortunately.

It's probably a hardware failure in the circuitry somewhere.
Bad connection between something somewhere basically.

Well, anyways, I managed to get a 160GB Slim-line for £110.

I keep all my Black Ops 2 data, and I had a USB Stick with a fairly recent GT5 save file on it.

So, all-in-all 👍
