How did you test it? Just by driving, or is there a simpler way to tell?
Well, i was told this by the person who was responsible for the settings from Kunos. So I tried it, I started a practice session offline and set SC to 100%. Then went online and set SC to on and selected a drift car which I am terrible at using a DS4, well I became a drift god.Was quite hard to completely spin out. So went back to offline practice and set SC back to zero. Then created another room with SC allowed, sure enough I never had it activated on my car.

Also tonight I went online and set the same settings ( TC+ABS=Factory, SC = on), this time my friend came on who is pretty terrible even with slow cars. He used the LaFa with max SC, and I used the 918 spyder on Highlands. I kept losing the end and spinning out whilst my friend set faster laps than me, my friend who couldn't even tame the abarth AC!.

You guys use words like "worthless", "useless" and other similar words too happily. If I was a developer and read all this, I would send you all to hell.

Luckily for you, Kunos listens to the community, even if the community behaves like spoiled kids.

You guys wanted custom lobbies, and now that you have them, you still complain. I simply don't get it.

We didn't simply want custom lobbies, we wanted custom lobbies with useful no brainer options to make online racing fun & enjoyable. The way they are currently, I could not set up & enjoy the kind of race evenings that I enjoy.

You're not doing anyone any favors. It's better for everyone if the threads stays on topic than you causing a derailment over the words chosen by one or two posters. It's silly arguments like these that make the community look like a bunch of children, so can we just stay on topic please? Everything was constructive until you stepped in.

Iirc a while back when Stefano said there is no kick option he did say "in this revision" or something like that. So I take that to mean what we have now isn't the final version.

On the official forum I asked about being able to take control of empty lobbies and reconfiguring them, to which I was told currently it won't be possible but it's something they'll look in too. So hopefully we get a few more things added.

Too happily? I count one (1) instance where one of those words are used in this thread, and it isn't even to spite the game.

We've already resorted to crass hyperbole have we?

Luckily for you, Kunos listens to the community, even if the community behaves like spoiled kids.

Now I'll reserve judgment as I haven't taken the time to read over every single post in this relatively short thread, but from the onset the only one appearing to act like a spoiled kid is you. All I can see is constructive criticism which, last I checked, is always welcomed.

If you can't combat the constructive criticism with further constructive criticism, perhaps it would be best for you to avoid this thread altogether.

You are totally right, this specific thread should not be the target of a rant like mine. My apologies, I wasn't in my best mood when I woke up.

This could go in the 1.14 update thread but I did not want it to get lost in all the other discussions. I do believe it does deserve it's own thread.

What is Bad about custom Online Custom Lobbies:

* There is NO kick button (self explanatory)
* There is no room owner to administer said button
* You must leave the lobby if you wish to change cars
* You must start a new lobby if you wish to change tracks/cars/rules
* There is no in room chat
* There is no button to disallow tuning (important for street cars especially)
* There is no select a class button, you must enter ALL cars individually
* We can't have custom championships (as I was inclined to believe before 1.14 released)
* We can't give drivers a wide choice of cars the limit is up to 16 cars
* We can't restrict people joining by Ping Time/country or type of driver
* There needs to be a better way to enter what the room description is or as GT6 does once you pass your curser over the room see what the rules/cars are
* It has really messed up Kunos's own online rooms - they get buried
* People should be able to join private rooms if they are on your friends list
* We should be able to invite friends once on the track/pits
* Can't have reverse grids or random
* Can't have handicap races
* Can't force pitstop
* Can't force tyre selection or change of compound on pit stop
* NO race replay

What is Good about Online Custom Lobbies

* The main one is **THEY ARE FINALLY HERE** Whoo Hooo :cheers:
* We can run all tracks and all cars with friends or with strangers
* We can run any combination of cars/rules/laps etc
* Great rule customisation
* Great to be able to set track grip
* Very stable
* Lag has not been an issue - so far! (see above about Ping)

Now please feel free to add to the list or comment on what I have listed. I hope I am not being too critical of Kunos's first attempt BUT they need to know what we do and don't like.
Just went online and noticed the kick option is back.

I would admit I do miss the chat box from GT6, but maybe Sony can make some improvements to the Party Chat system, like increase number of people to 16 ;)

I may be assuming here but there is a setting in the lobby that says something like qualify percentage. I believe that determines when a race starts after qualify etc. So try it without qualify set, and if that has no effect try it with qualify set to the lowest time you can and see if what happens. I could just be talking nonsense.

There is an option for that on the PC side, no idea if it's there in the console but that was my first thought when reading his comment about the Nords. If it is there, some people might not know what it means or may not realize that a setting of 200% at the Nords would mean people are waiting 20+ minutes before the race session would start.

I absolutely hated the text chat in GT. It certainly was useful and did its job but I really hated the chat coming up when someone left the room or explained why they crashed when i'm in a damn league race. Was very distracting. If it comes in AC I hope they give options to hide and unhide it through the options button.

I tried this and it certainly worked. I set it to 10%, I didn't try it at a larger percentage as I assumed it's what I thought it was.

My understanding is if you set it to 100% then once practice/qualifying ends it looks at the ideal lap time and extends the session that long, in an effort to let people finish their flying lap. So ideally you set it to something like 120% to ensure even the slowest drivers on the grid have time to finish one last lap. Obviously on long tracks like the Nords those values will result in a rather long break between sessions.

AC online part menus (well others too) needs quickly good UI-design overhaul.
Kunos should asap hire some UI-designer consult, game has much potential, but it's painful to use, lobby lottery with silent rooms filled with telepathic players trying to communicate with few vote choices.. Console world needs roomchat and other basic options mentioned in this thread.

Had high hopes that when a room doesn't have qualify set, races would actually start when practice timer hits zero, but nope.. Nordschleife is still stuck after 25mins of waiting.

I thought so too, but i already tried it before posting and i couldn't get it work.. I did a fast qualify lap at Vallelunga Club and then a very slow lap waiting it to end, but it let me finish my lap and wait few mins in the pits. (10% qualify limit)
Now i set it to 70% and imola was stuck for 7mins..
But i still suggest people to choose qualify rather than practise only.
