This could be a likelihood with news from Sony saying the PS4 will have a shorter life cycle than PS3, with publishers like EA chipping in it could be 5 years. It will be different by market area with the UK being highlighted by Sony as a region where the demand is strong for new hardware and the PS5 will come to fulfill that demand.
With PS5 likely to be a continuation of x86 hardware, PS5 would be backwards compatible and also seamless in software development from PS4 to PS5, with that in mind I can imagine GT8 being a launch title for PS5, coming with a 3 or 4 year gap after GT7.

Included are sources for potential 5 year/2018 PS5.
Further question and speculation is my own based on this information. It seems logical and likely. Not candidate to be locked.

Source please... doesnt seem like a very smart thing to say at launch... makes me old off on buying a PS4

What? The PS4 only came out five days ago and you're already speculating on the PS5? The PS4 has plenty of power under the hood to make it last another decade, let alone a need for a PS5 which will only be marginally better than the predecessor. The PS4 even has support for 4K, so if 4K becomes the new medium in four to five years time we have a console which will support it.

Why have you posted this thread twice in six hours?

Answer the questions put to you in the original one, particularly those regarding your sources.

Guess again.
