When pitting with an ICE car there is a button that says “don’t fuel”, which you can press after fueling begins to exit the pit lane with a partially filled tank. This essentially works exactly the same way with electric cars but the button is invisible. Also unlike a fuel tank the game will not tell you what battery percentage must be reached to cover the remaining laps, but you can watch the gauge and judge yourself.
Also even though there is nothing analogous to the in race fuel map you can adjust your energy depletion rate to some degree by adjusting your TCS.
FWIW the Audi VGT seems to be a bit of a meta for many of the events in WTC800.
