It works fine for me. Maybe its just within europe? Pretty sure there'll be streams up on JustinTV and what not though.

EDIT: Ed isnt in europe either so scrap that idea..

Guys with Sky can watch it on MotorsTV too. Pretty good coverage being shown there.

I think it's just the wec website.... I refreshed enough to get some information and the dailymotion source works fine. (same stream as the live.fiawec one, just coming from the source they're embedding).

Car list is linked in the navigation menu, click on "specifications"

Only three LMPs because at most there's only ever two or three top class Le Mans teams challenging for a win in real life. That's reflected here. No need to squeeze in every LMP in the game in my humble opinion.

Yeah, but I'd add the Pescarolo. :indiff:

Sorry if I sound mean, but as long as big manufacturers are running cars or Pescarolo buys one of the top flight customer rides at the time, he's never gonna get his win, so I won't include it.

Plus, petrol.

The intro to the series gave the impression that Le Mans would be held as almost a 'spot race' with drivers running that and not the entire WEC campaign. Is this correct?

Because I can't really commit to the entire calendar (some busy weekends for me) but I would love to run the Le Mans round as a one off entry.

On a side note, great work with this, it looks amazing. You must have put a huge amount of work in 👍

Funny looking at the list of drivers on the PURE site by their real name I really have no idea who anyone is. You guys should consider listing GTP or PSN names in addition to real names (or instead). Honestly, I'd prefer not to use my real last name given it's publicly listed on that driver page, but kind of late now. :dunce:

Yeah thanks Tom.

The spot race aspect isn't far off. Le Mans is almost a "spot race" in real life in that there's a lot of teams that join WEC only for that round and don't contest the rest of the series. Time is money, in real life, those teams just don't have the money to run the whole series and in GT Life, not all of us have the time to do the same so it's fine :)

That's coming in an update to the site today, right now you're only able to see standings. The car selection system and teams output will have all necessary information. Thanks Tim. sending you a proper response to your PM now btw.

We'll change you last name to first letter now, even though I know it's sort of too late already as you said, sorry about that!

Just registered, LMP class.

Still got to test the cars to decide which one to race with.

Sounds good, you can count me in for Le Mans without a doubt. I assume you'll be taking entries for that single round nearer the time? :)

You can sign up for it now if you want. It's going to be the same system.

So I just sign up to the site as everyone else does? I'll get right on it in that case.

EDIT: Hmm, thought it was 19:00 BST, not UTC. Could cause me issues but we'll see.

Yeah for sure, also guys, you'll notice more changes to the site coming up as TnJ/Tim works on the CSS with my styling :)

well... we've been going for an authentic look and feel to this series; so that's where the real names on timing and scoring come in.

But as you can see some people already censored their names (I only require 1 letter to validate the form), you could have done that if you were worried. In retrospect though if you'd like me to change your last name to McLovin' or something so you don't get googled I can do that pretty quickly. Just pm me. ... edit: Eddie had me change it for you. 👍

What's everyone else's opinion? Should we go with aliases? I'd hate to cause problems over what is essentially a style choice.

Can we just make it so people can edit their own names?

Well, Scott Morse is an alias of mine. :) Who knew? :sly:

What about replacing everyone 2nd name with their GTP tag (or something similar) for example

Neil Green
Edward Wardez
Timothy Watson

ect

that way when you look at the leaderboad you can see who's who's :)

I dont care lol im still "Paul Mackay" :P. I mean how silly would Paul Paul_Mac look .

Well the idea behind having full names was so we could write more legible articles about the drivers, since we plan on continually developing the "story" of CALM as it goes on. "JOHN EICH HAS WON LE MANS" doesn't have a great ring.

but yeah, it's superficial, so I'm not married to it.

I think we should retain at least first names though, not just drop it all.

I like the idea of having full names. Agreeing with Ed that seeing usernames in an article or somewhere else does make it look the most legit.

How about just a simple chart to show who's who which can be on the OP or something?

I'm not sure what the big issue with using real names is, to be honest. It's not like your identity's going to be stolen or anything.

Once I roll out the next update tonight you'll be able to click on someone's name and see their account profile which will show you their GTP/PSN name, stats, etc... Once we pick cars team profiles will also have alias information. So you will be able to see who's who.
