A terrible drive by me.I had no grip running alone and even less in traffic.I might as well test with sports softs since thats what the car feels like in a race.:ill:

Very clean racing OK8. Can't wait for our next run. So fun when respect is given by both drivers.

Finished 8th. One up from my start position. So not bad in that aspect. Qualifying for D1 was a win in itself.

Next week should be extra fun on my end.

Got the fever after the exciting race with OK8. So went to the shop and Built this today- finally get to use the trips!!!

I had a terrible race. For some reason, I always choke when the pressure is on...and I hate it. Apparently I've lost my finesse.

My first mistake was fudging up the bus stop on lap 3. I shouldn't have followed too close because the dirt really screws up visability and I totally missed my marks. Then after losing several positions, I ran into the back of Muzz which gave me damage. Not 5 seconds later, hellboyfr t-boned me (consequence of terrible lag) and gave me uber hardcore damage. The ole Garaiya drove dog-legged and topped out at ~80mph. Had to drive a half lap with the bad damage. I stayed with it though, and instead of rage quitting (something I dispise), I rage-drove and tried to catch whoever was in front of me.

After the race was over, I felt like I drive like total crap. Hopefully we can try some 4 lap sprints during the week in practice rooms. I need practice driving around other cars.

Lmao.
I like that. With my history I must be one of the most experience rage drivers ever. Welcome to the big leagues xD

But definitely good going. That's exactly the type of attitude we all like.

Yeah, doing small practice races, especially at draft heavy tracks, is crucial.

Nice Owens.Looks like 3-22" monitors should fit nicely.

Now get back to work on the brakes on that Town & Country.;)

I'm right there with DA. Rage-drove my ass off too! Got super heavy damage from hellboy also and couldn't go past 40mph. Easily lapped by leaders right as I came in pits. After damage fixed, i was running by myself majority of laps and stayed error free.

Then came in for fresh tires with ten laps left and came out in front of Ealirendur, which I was lapped traffic for him. He caught my draft and that's were my fun started. We ran together till the end and we're pulling faster lap times if we were running by ourselves.

In closing laps I see a car in the distance and I was hoping it was someone I can gain position from but it was Litchi. To my disappointment, Ealirendur was happy because he could gain a spot. On their last lap we caught Litchi and I backed off a little to let them have at it. Ealirendur passed him through turn 12 and I thought Litchi could still get a run to pass back at start/finish but Ealirendur held him off.

Race didn't go as I would of liked but I made the most of it and still had fun. Oh and i only gained one position to finish 10th.

MY RACE REPORT

We had a few issues getting started, 2 rooms and 3 restarts later we finally got away.
Hellboy started from the rear due to him suffering from lag spikes.
It probably didnt help that the formation lap kept stopping. Once we are moving the pole sitter should keep at 62mph unless told otherwise by the host.

The race started well for me from 5th position. I managed to gain a place by turn 1, then the 4 of us pulled away a little. After a few laps Ealirendur made a mistake and the lead group became myself, Litchi and Jashugan.
That was soon to become 2 as me and Jashugan managed to get clear, the lead constantly changing. by lap 12 i had broken the slipstream with a 1.6 second lead.
Hamilton who had started from the back of the field ploughed his way through the field and pitted early, so myself and jash pitted on lap 13.
I then started to pull away a little and stretched the lead to 4 seconds. Hamilton and Jash working in tandem started to close the gap lap by lap, to 2.3 seconds. Time to push on, i got the lead back to 4 seconds and managed to regulate the gap until the end of the race.

It was a very good race from my point of view with very few mistakes, i had a really intense battle with Jashugan. I wont be able to race next week due to a wedding reception, so i will see you all at Tsukuba.
also, congratulations to GTP_Josh-F on winning the div 1 race. great race report and photo Simon 👍

Cheers Ed, you are right it feels great. I nearly put it in the wall exiting the bus stop on the last lap as I realised I was going to win. Lol.

Don't forget the oldest Twist (Pag) he did good getting 8th too 👍.

No worries, Simon. It's just bad luck. I guess I'll have to try harder next time and pray that nothing happens this time!

By the way, happy to see basically everyone had fun! :)

It was meant to happen. If I didn't make a btcc overtake on josh in turn 1 I wouldn't of been caught up with that incident and josh would of.

But hey it made the race a little more interesting as it was just a Slipstream fest

Pleased with 4th in the end made 2 spots up

Thanks for that, I did enjoy the race even though 95% of it i was on my own but i am starting to get the hang of racing again and i have really missed it, So thanks everyone for an enjoyable race. :)

Hey pag, just a small heads up, the forum moderators frown on single people making consecutive posts, it's alright for now but the edit button is your friend 👍

What's a good target time at Fuji GT? I need a goal to reach.

Also, if someone could race with me and lemme save the replay so I could study the best racing line I'd super appreciate it. It'd be a huge help.

1:42s was pole for WSGTC 3, not sure will check.

Fastest pole time from WSGTC 3 was done on the F version of Fuji so we don't have much...

Fastest time was a 1:42.622 in qualifying for GT300 so maybe aim for a 1:41?

Oh oops assumed we were doing the same track my bad. (I prefer F to GT :()

Hoping to make a start with you guys and probably in the Celica. Just ran some laps at Fuji GT with a best of 1'38.9xx in my lounge, so maybe this is a better indicator of expected lap times ;)

Awesome Nige, look forward to being on track with you again, if I make D1 xD

Cool car too B)

Thanks Eddie, looking forward to it. :D. Been too busy with work these last couple of weeks, so fingers crossed we'll get back to normal and I can get some seat time ;)

For reference, I believe the chicane adds about 4.5s as I ran a few laps at Fuji F just to see and managed a 1'43.4xx.

Hope this helps :)

I was just wondering when any league tables and official results will be up? Also the link to the regs and rules wtc seems to be missing from the 1st post.
Cheers
