any thoughts on dropping the engine stage 3 upgrade from the Zonda? It will be inconvenient for those who have aleady installed it as you will have to buy another Zonda but it may make it more fun to drive.

also, James and Jakob have been withdrawn from the series due to the concerns of multiple drivers.
 
Chequered Flag Procedure

- After the timer passes the scheduled end of the race (90 minutes for most rounds, 2 hours at Indy, Nurburgring and Laguna; 2 hours & 24 minutes at Daytona) the "white" flag will be waved.

- The first time the overall race leader (from the DP class) passes the finish line after the allotted time is up the checkered flag is waved and the leader's race is over. I.e. the first lap completed after 2.4 hours at Daytona completes the leaders race. After passing the start/finish line the leader should immediately slow to 50 MPH and announce the checkered flag (press start and type "Checkered Flag"). No car should pass him at any time going forward. Any close finishes at the line will be reviewed with replay for the official results. Note: if in doubt, finish your lap and the results will be reviewed.

- After the checkered flag is announced all drivers should complete their current lap and their race is finished when they next pass the finish line. They should line up behind the train of cars that have already finished moving at 50 MPH. When the last car passes the start/finish line we will announce race end, record the results and then allow everyone to exit track and save the replay.

- If you are in the pits beyond the start/finish line when the leader takes the checkered flag you can complete your lap *only* if you can exit pit road before the leader passes the pit exit. You cannot past the leader on the parade lap.

Mixed Class Etiquette

To best prepare each driver for mixed class racing, always keep a few key things in mind.

Slower class cars have full right to the racing line. They are never obligated to "move over" for an approaching faster class car. In-fact it's favorable for the slower car to hold the usual racing line as if the faster car wasn't even around. This makes the slower car predictable and in effect much much easier for the faster cars to overtake cleanly. When a slower car is in a group of class traffic, faster class cars must be extra careful or face penalties. It is the job of the faster car to overtake without disrupting the lower class race.

Faster class cars must exercise patience in mixed class overtaking situations. It is not the job of the slower class to facilitate overtaking. The faster car must let the slower cars run their track and overtake only when it's most efficient for both parties. When hot on the tail of a slower class car going into the Laguna Seca Corckscrew, chances are that waiting until the last turn to pass will be most beneficial; for example.

When approaching slower class cars in a group of fellow class drivers patience is paramount. The one defense move per lap rule is still in effect, and do not attempt to overtake a slower class car while on pit entry.

Points and Penalties

For our penalty system, we will be following the PURE IPO (Incident Penalty Outline). For more information on this, see here.

Drivers will be scored on a linear scale based on their finishing position in the race. Every car will be included in the classification to assign a base score, irrespective of classing. If a GT car wins an over-all victory they will receive the appropriate recognition on the score sheet. The base score is based on the following matrix:

"A Room" - positions 1-16 following a linear scale from 48 to 18 points seperated by 2 point gaps.
48, 46, 44, 42, 40, 38, 36, 34, 32, 30, 28, 26, 24, 22, 20, 18

"B Room" - positions 17-32 following a linear scale from 16 to 1 point(s) seperated by 1 point gaps.
16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Once the base scores have been determined "in-class" bonuses will be applied to add graduated value for success. In the top division ("A Room") drivers on the podium in each class will earn a bonus of 6, 4, and 2 points for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respective. For the lower half of the field ("B Room") the bonus will be reduced to 4, 2, and 1 point(s) for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respective.

No points will be awarded for qualifying, leading laps or fastest lap. The top two scores from each team will count towards the teams championship. Your lowest finish will be dropped from your points tally.

You must complete 33% of the laps that the DP race winner completes to score points.

So will I be a reserve for whoever decides to take Stevenson Motorsports?

if you plan on running a majority of the races I would say you can do full time for Stevenson Motorsport and pick your own reserve driver for the races you know you won't be able to make.

I'm pretty sure they'll be fine considering they're largely based on PURE specs but if you have the time mate 👍
 
Erm, I dunno how good or bad this is, but I was testing the Audi LMS at Indy and was getting 1:33.080.

We probably won't have a good idea of benchmark times until the tyre test this Sunday as we've got a few guys who aren't sure of their cars yet so they haven't set times.

Please drop engine stage 3 from the Zonda if you haven't already. it has enough torque already, adding more will just shred the rear tires.
 
Since Frasier offered to do this before, I'll say that we will drop the engine stage 3; it's just not needed.
 
I'm going to send a Friend request to Frasiercrane so I can test the Mid-Ohio Track. By the way what car is in what class? All I see is a list of cars.

The ones I have now, cheers for the input Paul 👍 I think I've got an IROC Camaro that I should be able to get numbers from and I'm going to run an enduro in the Zonda for fun anyway so that'll get the number for that.

If somebody could start B speccing a Ferrari 458 or Corvette Z06 RM though, that'd be great.

ok sounds good

working on breaking in the Ferrari now. I decided to go a full 40 on the real downforce as it is still the slowest car, naturally as the only non-racecar.


EDIT: for the Camaro go with what it says on yours, mine is not broken in, with only the ECU mine only gets to 502hp

Argh. Spent ages running in a Zonda on B spec and it's got engine stage 3. 🤬

Anybody have a run in Zonda they can give me the power limiter level from?

Oh you've reminded me mate; sorry about not giving notice but I made a decision to split the field 10/6 GT/DP as the GT cars are generally more popular.
 
can't have a DP field without the Red Dragon, though ;)

I'll see if I find a light blue I like and take Ganassi if I can't keep mine red.
 
Can the Zonda DP have engine stage 3 and be power limited from there?
