By the way. Careful, because standings are discarding three results now, not just 2.

Huh??

These are mine:

40 + 44 + 19 + 54 + 21 + 34 + 20 + 36 + 38 = 306

2 worst: 19 + 20 = 39

306 - 39 = 267..

You're right.. Howcome? Tim?

EDIT: Lol, after I refreshed the site, it now leaves the 2 worst results.. All is good. 👍

BrosifDuder 60 (How about Brosif? I can't remember what we decided on ballast/not racing.. anyone?)
I think he just keeps the ballast. I missed Nurb 24h but I still kept my ballast which I got from Spa and ran with it during todays race.

Ok. Thanks Wii! 👍

And also, how about the weather for Suzuka? Concidering Spa..
The word is open..

Haha, I was about to type in times and saw you doing it.
Ballast is set correct on the standings page. Pit bug did manage to cost me exactly enough points to miss getting porky. Brosif keeps his weight, was in the original rules; no-race no-weight-loss. Gotta "Finish off the podium" to lose weight.

Good win Rees 👍

I was so confused on the first lap. Everything seemed ok then there was a slow-down and I went from 7th - 5th... then I see a dust cloud and CSL goes off at turn 3.. by now I'm just following Nige through the apocalypse... Dennis is limping his NSX ... turn 4... 3rd place??? Took me a lap to just forget it and try and win a race. Then I passed the s/f line and noticed first was waaaaay up the road with a Vettel size early lead. Something like 8s.

I got around the Stealth NSX and tried like hell to cut that lead. I got it down into the 3s range breaking the draft to welsh at the same time, but that pace melted my front tires. Then I couldn't use the infield anymore to make up the time lost on the banking. Lap times fell down to 1:32 :/ toward the end of the stint. But Rees was on a 2 stop for sure since the only lap of the race I lead was 15 after he pit at the end of 14.

After the pit shuffle I came out very confused what pit strategy WiiFreak was on since he was between me and Rees. I was pushing hard on the cold tires to try and catch his draft while keeping my gap to Mr. Stealth NSX. Apparently at some point Wardez made a heroic set of passes (saw it on the replay, nicely done 👍) to end up behind Nige. And they would both close my hard earned gap when I got turn 11 wrong and took a tour of the beach before loping down the banking.

From then until the end of the 3rd stint we 3 had a very entertaining go of it. And when I was watching the replay... I got my answer as to why it was requiring 1:28s pace for so many laps to break the draft to you 2. Bumping an NSX down the straight... how's a brother going to compete with that. :P Cheeky buggers.

So yeah, the feature race was fantastic from my perspective. 2nd place from 7th, and entertaining at the same time. :D 👍

The sprint... yeah. Least I don't have ballast at Suzuka. :indiff:

Everybody is watching SB46?

Well, NY won it!! I love an underdog.. First GBP and now NEP.. Awesome!! Well deserved!

Ignore my flags.. I'm just trying something.. ;)

Job well done by Rees for the win, Eddie a close second, Dennis the surprise 3rd.👍

Bad luck at Indy for me, no avoiding it.
I could have done better with what I had though, so disappointed with that, too many mistakes, not a very well planned pit strategy. Could have pulled off the 2 stopper even with the damage, and could have stayed near Rees without going in full bore knowing I had damage and under steering off the track. :banghead:
Then I pit too early, assuming tires would last a bit longer then they actually did, hoping to stretch the second 2 sets, to run without damage. So 3 stops later, I had two relatively underused sets of tires, and two pretty abused sets of tires, at least 10-15 seconds in that alone.
Points sure tightened up though didn't they? :scared:

Edit: I think I'm missing a bonus point for quali

Den Wardez showed the replay on his stream and it was like the tyre wall jumped out on both of us as we were both well clear of it, ruining our races :(.

Mm, Paul.. that tyre wall is a B****!!

Dom, yea, I accidently gave it to Litchi.. good spot.. I'll correct it right away..

EDIT: Sorted! 👍

After crashing in quali last week and pit-bugging this week. Looks like catching Rees for 5th is out of reach. With the drops his minimum score is going to be 25 so I need 48 to catch. So pole, fast lap, a podium, and < 25 point finish for Rees... sure, guess I'll put on my rain suit

So GL next week GV and Wardez, It seems I'm fighting to hold ground in 6th rather than gain it. Come get some? :nervous:

hey guys,

hope all is well, just got some free time sitting around the pool. I've been super busy in SA, I've been in bed and asleep at 09.30pm lol, I'm never asleep at early back home.

if anybody hasn't been in SA and then to Kruger Park well damn you need to boom a flight now its amazing to see wild animals so close to your car. I saw 4 of the "Big 5": Elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard couldn't find the damn lions LOL.
we even saw cheetah which is super rare, such a beautiful animal.
anyway I'll stop blabing...

how's the racing going, have I missed anything important

I'm glad your having fun, man! :D And that sounds exciting, on its own way. Also glad to see you didn't meet a Lion... we don't want you all eaten up! ;)

Tim and Eddie, good luck to you both too. I have to admit my goal is reaching 6th place... Will have to work hard! :)

Hi mate, glad to hear you're fine, and are having a nice holiday..
Say hello to GTP_African_Cat and UAE_ReDLiNe while you're there, will you? ;)

WHen do you get back to the UK? Can you race this Sunday?
I think I recall you saying that you could race, but not make the quali deadline.. Is that so?

Either way, cheers man, and have a nice last part of the holiday! 👍

Naaa, jk..
You can watch the gate19 sheet, cause we raced at Suzuka in Round 1 as well.. 👍

I'd say 57's and low-mid 58's are solid lap times..

then i'm not on the pace  I think I could be maximum 2 seconds slower than the estimed times, probably over the 2:00.xxx

Great race yesterday in D2. Small field but still very clean at T1 Lap 1 dudes!!! I had an enjoyable race. Just put my head down and basically TT'd it on a 2 stopper and took advantage of others mistakes. My usual strategy. Had a wee coming together with Scanny, nothing more than a racing incident. In all honesty probably my fault by braking just a fraction early. I made a small change to the brake balance just prior to the race which seemed to unsettle the car quite a bit coming off the brakes. I really struggled with it the first few laps. Anyway, good fun!!! The sprint I'm a bit embarrassed about. Smashed into the T1 tyre barrier and wrecked the whole front of the car. No glitch, crap driving. Dunno how I got 3rd place after that. I guess the others didn't know how damaged my car was. Big lesson in that, never give up, you never know what will happen in front of you.

Struggling to get back to the golden .57s...

Why o why did I decide to do well at Indy and get this awesome ballast?

yea I land on Sunday so I will miss qualifying deadline but to be honest 16 days without racing I'm going to be slow anyway so I'll start at the back of d2 if that's ok.

however it all depends what I'm doing Sunday but I will let you guys know on the day...

So.. I asked a question yesterday, but no answers.. So here it comes again..

Rain or not in this weeks race keeping Spa in mind?
What do you think?

hmm what do you think about starting in dry condition and possibilities of light rain? maybe hmm 40% or somethink like that

Well.. I think I speak for the rest of us NSX drivers when saying NO RAIN. :mischievous:

It was amazing how much slower the NSXs were than the rest of the field when the track was wet. I qualified on pole for the Spa race. "Stole" a sector head start.. and was lapped during the race. It felt like I had a 50-75pp disadvantage.

I would be completely fine with it being a rain race if the cars were somewhat competitive in the rain. I don't think anyone realized how disadvantaged certain cars would be in the rain at season start.

Well, at Spa i traced against no one NSX on D2 race. So but if if the difference btw NSX and others is to high of course we must race without rain.

There was also no rain in the D2 race though SG.

But yes, I think we should, since it's the last race, go without rain 👍.
