An hour and 53 minutes late, cos work, but whatever.

hb wiifreak :)

Wow, that's weird. You're the closest person to me in terms of distance, and we also have birthdays in the same month.

Thanks guys. Happy birthday btw Wii! Weeeee
Have a good vacation Rich.

Oh and Joshua, you'll be racing for YMS again since you're a reserve, it's only if all three main YMS drivers are available in a race that you're not scoring team points.

Also, updated the news with details on the practice leaderboard. btw, feel free to enter the practice times of other drivers!

Annnnd, we may have a couple new additions to the driver line up as well, stay tuned.

Cheers

Question, how do I find the practice board without a link Tim?

Right there next to the standings...:D

@Tim: The toyota supra is from 1997, nit 1995 ;)

Talk to Eddie about that. The chassis is technically a 1995 with 1997 livery.
You'll notice the HSV is also listed as 2010 since that's the chassis with 2011 livery.

Only one's that are *wrong* are the Lexi. I'm quite certain the Bandai and Eneos are slightly different. The bodywork has enough differences that they were the original 1st rev 2006 chassis and the Denso/Petronas are an updated 2007/8 chassis.

Anyways, this will probably be my last post until Monday, so enjoy your respective races. 👍

Curiosity - Did the '97 run under the same specs/regs as they did in '95?

Practice/Q room: 1472-6681-3630-4562-4204

Up for at least 3 hours.

Heh. You can jump to "fastest" in the practice-board, if you use "." instead of ":" between minutes and seconds.

Practice Board

Yeah, since I didn't really care about the "integrity" of the practice board I'm not validating the input format and doing time comparison. It's just an alphabetical sort coming out of the database. I'll worry about time-format when I put in gap calculations and the other "extras"... Right now I'm relying on users to input their information correctly. ;)

I say who cares. List them as the game does. If I'm driving a 1998 Acura Integra, I don't say I'm driving a 1994 Integra with 1998 livery. Just don't get the rationale. 1994 and 1998 Integras are the nearly the same exact chassis...only differing in body work. Assuming livery = body work...

Edit: actually I believe 98-01 Integras are slightly longer...by maybe 2"

Wardezo wanted it that way... I originally had them as they are in-game. *shrug* I'm pretty indifferent on the whole affair. :indiff:

What's going on here. LoL seems hairs are being split.

Wanted to say thanks to Dom, Russ, Iforce, and my 007 friend Delta for practicing with me. Also big thanks to Dom for tuning tips. Dropped .8 off my time from your advice.

Please share, I need to knock off about 2 seconds. Lol

Basically noted ride hight is now normal. Lower front works like lower rear. Just less pronounced.

As well lower cars grip better.

Combined these with my tune and was really happy with the results. I don't have actually tune up. But will get it and share later.

Basically , the total opposite of what I was using.
Cheers jeff 👍

Yeah, ride height seems more toward reality now. Having the rear end dragging below the front creates some corner-entry understeer. While raising the rear higher than the front creates corner-entry overseteer. Which is exactly how it should have been from day1.

Still have to deal with the vague "relative" tuning though. All the adjustments are + or - from stock of 0. But they never tell us what the absolute value of the starting point is. I assume the SC430 has a rake to begin with though since the front goes to -35 and the rear goes to -37... I I *think* that's how you can at least find out the default rake angle.

Whatever though... until GT starts giving us actual figures not this relative adjustment and 1-10 percentage sliders there tuning will always be a guesswork joke.

You know you're in 5th place only 4 points off the podium right?
(maybe you're different but success is usually fun for me)

I know. I wouldn't exactly call it success, more like I haven't missed a race like everyone else around me has + some consistency if you want to call it that. I was just severely frustrated after last week, especially since I screwed up and dropped 2 positions on the last lap. :ouch: Broken equipment didn't help either.

Currently trying to fix the broken paddle spring situation on my DFGT. May have to drop them all together.

Hey I'm happy as a clam in 6th with my consistency. ;)
You had enough quickness and consistency @ nurF though that when all the stops shook out and I saw myself in 3rd I thought for sure you were the car in 2nd (I have most of the HUD disabled so I don't get the 'tree'). I think if you'd three-stopped you would have been.
Seems like a car where if the race looks like a toss-up between two pit strategies you might fare better pushing hard and taking the extra stop rather than saving the tires and going for the long runs.

Anyone up for an NA race tonight, around 9pm EST?

Same as Den was running for the European time zone, say 15 laps.

I think I'm going to get my practice in tomorrow morning before holiday festivities get rolling (and the drinking begins).
