Hate heavy damage, i seem to always get hit from behind or someone spin right in front of me and ruin my race. I guess i just have bad luck or a magnet attached to my car.

When i look in the drivers list, i could imagine that there are a lot of impressive drivers involved in this series and i guess everyone know how to not ruin a race of someone and avoid harsh contacts ;)

Yep i have noticed all the talented drivers that have joined.
Hope i can keep up with you guys.

And? Is it bad? Do you think i should enlarge the Pit Window like 20% to 80%?
Well the question is if you get damage outside the pit window?
I don't mind pit windows, but getting damage at the wrong time ruins peoples race extra. Most likely it's 2 cars with damage, and most likely, 1 didn't do anything to get it.
So basically a pit window and mandatory stop are fine, but I don't like them mixed if that means you have to stop a second time just because of a rule.
If you get damage on lap 2, sure, you need to pit twice anyway, but if you get damage at the right time, it's essentially giving anyone with damage a mandatory extra pit stop over the rest of the field. When it's not your fault that really really sucks.
The window is fine, the damage is fine, just please don't mandate an extra stop for people just because they got damage.:indiff:

There are always details I disagree with in every series, and I offer my 2 cents is all. It's perfectly ok if you ignore it as well.👍

I'm pretty sure your sig says you're part of that talent he's talking about. ;)

I agree with CSL. If you receive damage, and need to pit, you should be exempt from the pit window regulation. It's not part of the strategy to get damage, and doing so does not gain an advantage when pitting early, since you've lost time getting said damage. If the races are long enough, a pit will be necessary anyways and therefore not needed to be mandated. I haven't driven these cars yet, so I don't know the wear speed of them, but seeing low weight and SH tires, I'm guessing a while. Personally, I don't like mandatory stops, as it removes any strategy from the race. If someone wants to risk going the full distance, then by all means let them try. Just make it long enough to where they should pit.

Agreed, and agreed. No problem with heavy damage, but if someone needs to pit due to damage, they should be exempt from the pit window.

Thanks, i have raced with a bunch of these guys before and they are all great drivers. Including meeting a couple of them at finals like benny and veloci. :)

Yeah, I think you're right guys. I'll adapt the rules saying that if a driver pit out of the window due to damage (i think to more than 2 wheels damage or engine broken), he will not be penalized by not pitting in the pit window.
Seems fair for you?

Yes seems right :)

Biffy taken the last free spot but i plan to add 3 or 4 new colors later this week on the roster so you'll can register soon ;)

I'm also interested in joining.

Really like the car regulations and as always, you guys run a very well managed racing series.

Race length: 50mn - 1h

  • Drivers will enter the track based on qualifying times.
  • After entering the track, drivers are welcome to circle the track during their warm up lap and make their way to the front straight.
  • self-grid by parking the car in the correct position on the grid.
  • The P1 driver at this time is expected to NOT pass the start/finish line. That goes for any other driver. Approach the grid position slowly and make sure driver is lined up correctly in the box.
  • Once the field is in position, the host will start the 40 second count-down to race start.
[*]Every race on the schedule will require at least one mid-race pit stop (between 33% and 66% on each track)
  • Vehicles that have any form of damage may pit in these 33/66% laps windows without penalty.
  • Drivers that quit any race for any reason will forfeit all points they may have earned for that particular race. (This does not include disconnects which are no fault of said driver)
  • Any race finish that results in a tie between two or more drivers, will be corrected by examining each drivers fastest lap time during that race.

btw guys, my internet is finally back. I'll be online tonight (EU time) for some practice at Suzuka ;)

Well, the "mandatory" pit stop is just a formality. Since we're running with tire wear on, there's no way to competitively finish a race without stopping of course.

I don't like pit windows though :/

and I'm ok with heavy damage, but I feel that this car would be best to race with limited damage because it's just so fun to thrash around in, and quite easy to as well. It seems to be a lot funner with damage on limited.
I only like to run with heavy damage in series based around race cars.

Another good reason to run limited is because there's lots of us that are racing each other for the first time so limited damage will put a lot of us more at ease and feel more confident racing each other hard as we'd like to.

Well ok, it's mandatory - but it's quite possible to finish race without any and still win it! By driving a bit slower, controling the race, pace, opponents... - and that would even diminish any danger of accidents too, if you are more managing tyres then racing ;) And who doesn't like that has pitstop option open.

Heavy D might only present some risk in first race or two, but no more then that.

hum , the pre-season race in heavy damage to see if that gives her? and if there is a lot of major damage to offers major damage to the light 7 next race?

I highly doubt anyone will be saving tires enough to even consider going 25 or 30 laps on tires. And if you could i think the time you would lose going slow enough to save the tires would not even be close to what you could do pitting just once over that many laps.

It's very possible (plenty of different tracks in this) but we wont know if nobody tries. That's for sure ;)

WHY would pitstop be mandatory then?

How i see it is Will came up with this series and the rules and regs so im going with what he has and glad to be involved in it. I guess if the mandatory pit thing bothers you that much you dont have to race IMO. If not then look forward to racing with you. :)

Thanks, sorry I didn't look.
What's a good lap time for Suzuka?

I'm stuck in the 2:18 atm. But Zikwik (he will sign up soon) is already in the low 2:16 (EDIT: high 2:15 now). I think he will be in fight with tony, Twissy, etc...

I saw Zikwik run a 41.8 at Indy, his sectors had alien written all over them. I'm sure he's going to be even faster. My PB after many laps was 42.0

Sounds good. Like the idea of requiring 2 wheels or 1wheel+engine damage to get the pass.👍

Room open for some practice: 1472 6399 8580 0419 0325
Zikwik, Tony and Josh in the room atm ;)
