Question about PSN trophies (Thinking about restarting my GT Life career)

I'm not far into the game and I feel like making a fresh start on the career mode. Simply delete my save file and start again. I feel I've spent too much time messing around rather than making a serious attempt at making progress. Also because I have noticed that the driving distance counter is taking arcade mode into account. I was letting a friend try my game in arcade mode so my stats are not as personal as I would like them to be anymore. Before deleting my save file I hope someone can answer this (stupid) question.

Question, on the in-game profile page it says how many percentages of the PSN trophies I have accquired in the game. Since we can only get our PSN trophies once I just wanted to ask if the PSN trophy percentage counter on the profile page is linked to my save file or the PSN trophy sever? It would be quite annoying if the percentage counter on the profile page went back to zero and by that out of sync with my PSN trophies. I hope my question makes sense. :)

The amount of trophies shown is probably connected with the local cache (aka the trophies that are stored on your PS3) as it probably shows a number even if you're offline. Have not tested this.

I doubt you'll run into any problem with that counter being off-sync, but I haven't tested this so I can't be sure.

I'm not too much into how trophies work "behind the scenes" so your theory is probably right. Just a precautionary question and PD wouldn't overlook such a thing anyway.
