No, you're posting false information trying to claim a model is a prototype for a real vehicle, which it isn't and it has been made so damn clear through its development and afterwards that it will never be a real thing. It is a purely fictional scenario of "What if". I wouldn't care but you're outright claiming it's real and then using a model car as an excuse.

That's like me saying this car exists and is a prototype for the real thing because we can clearly see it in the real world here

They really wont.

The amount of money required to sink into something which isn't enjoyable to watch would be financial suicide.

F1s go slower than they can for many reasons, safety, cost and crowd appeal.
People don't find seeing a car for the a split second as it grips around a corner at monstrous speed before taking off entertaining. If that weren't true, it is at least how those in charge see it.

STOP DELUDING YOURSELF, IT HAS NEVER REALLY EXISTED AND NEVER WILL.

I think you need to read my comment twice. I did say "I reckon they might build a similar car to the X1 in the future (Probably in 50 years time )" Didn't you see the "I RECKON THEY MIGHT" and "PROBABLY IN 50 YEARS TIME" part, did you see that part and understood it well?. For your information you don't know what's going to happen in the future so I wouldn't judge too quickly if I were you, you never know some guy might invent a car similar to a X1 (Which what I said on my previous post).

using a model car as an excuse

What?!?!?! You said if I provide proof of X1 existing that I might change your mind which I did provide and it's no where an excuse. Excuse for what??? For me thinking that X1 is real..? Man you sure do like everything perfect around here. Well guess what I ain't perfect and nobody is, I'm allowed to make mistakes, right?

Calm your damn tits, I edited the post to be worded better because I've just woken up. I was clearly informing you that you are incorrect and it is not a real car and you try to further prove its existence with essentially a giant toy car, hence my response with an absurd hot wheels car because by your exact logic it's a prototype.

Now lets break down your insanity shall we?

I NEVER CLAIMED YOU SAID IT WOULD DEFINITELY HAPPEN

Give me a call when you understand how the entertainment business works. Or just finances in general.

Or manage to get somebody in the drivers seat of it. It will never happen.

Not now, not in 50 years, not ever. I will gladly eat my own face off if I'm proven wrong.

Might be a good idea for you to wait for an hour before you post replies to other people. If you managed to proof read your work before posting replies to other people then maybe we wouldn't be having this conversation.

I said it would definitely happen..? Huh?? I said I reckon it might...

I'll be looking forward 50 years time.

It was one sentence that I felt could have been worded better, I'm terribly sorry if that offends you and that you're so backed into a corner that you're desperately using that as ammo.

On the topic of proof reading, how about you go back and read my post again, I even bolded the main point for you AND YOU STILL MISREAD IT.

Terribly sorry, Hmmm like I'm looking forward to your sorry. It doesn't offend me in any way. Using one sentence as ammo, you sure about that? You can't change what I think and if I think that X1 or similar to an X1 would be created in the future I will keep on believing in that.

Something about your post just pisses me off (something that disturbs me and it's usually when your talking to me).

You're blatantly reading what you want to read now and just curling further and further into a ball, flinging the same response of 'WELL I BELIEVE WHAT I WANT TO BELIEVE' Despite being told numerous times that it's implausible.
I've clarified to you many a time now that the only reason I'm getting irritated with you is the fact you have been stating it as fact, that it's a prototype for a real thing when you're basing it on nothing but your own deluded imagination.

I'm not bothering with this any more as It's not worth my time. I've given you the facts and you prefer living in this fairy tale land giving out false information to anyone who will listen based on your imagination.
Though I'm sure you'll take it as a victory to save your precious ego given your display thus far, and I'm okay with that. Whatever you need to get by in life buddy.

Firstly it's not a fact when it's a opinion. Like I said before I'll believe on something that I want to believe, call me studborn, I don't mind. If I think it will be released in 50-100 years in time then you can't stop me, bro.

If you hadn't replied to my first reply "I reckon...." then this argument wouldn't be going on? Right?. I'll take this as a victory? Are you mentally unstable? Who said this is a fight and it's judge by who wins/lose? My self-esteem is not on the line here I was only saying that there might be a chance that a similar car to the X1 might be created then you butted in and created an argument.

 oh you do get funnier as you get more and more defensive.

I'm sorry? you stated as fact that the X1 is a real life prototype when it is not.

I don't care what you think mate, you can think the X1 will be released and it will cost the same as a Ford Focus costs today for all I care. I've been attempting to show you logic and reasoning and you prefer to stay held up in a ball of ignorance and wishful thinking, if that's what you want to do I won't try to spoil a young mind like that.
Hey you never know! that absurd hot wheels car might be real some day too! yeah right.

I care about what you falsely state is fact. That is all this has been about, you stating the X1 is a real car when it is not and in all realistic probability, never will.

END. OF. STORY.

Before you claim "Oh it was just my opinion" you further tried to claim that it was real using the model car as evidence, you're only changing your story now because of the corner you're in. Nothing more.

Just stop. I really am done now I just couldn't resist because that was just such a gem

The X1 is possible technologically and it's possible, if highly unlikely, that someone could drive it on a solo test at a wide track. Much as I want it to be built though, it won't. It's too fast and expensive for public roads, couldn't be raced because there'd be too many collisions and wouldn't make money because of those two facts. The only way it will ever be built is if I, or someone similarly insane, can persuade Adrian Newey to essentially commit murder for a huge amount of money. Sad, at least to me, but true.

BTW, I'm off to buy a lottery ticket.

First of all, even if they were to build the prototype for this car, how would he human body be able to withstand the physics of it? The G's on any sharp corner in that thing... no thank you.
Who cares why PD put it in here. It's been fun for some, not so fun for others, a challenge regardless, and a little extra uniqueness for the game. Does nobody remember the NIKE car from GT4?
Everyone thought they were going to build a real one of those too.

Actually the human body can withstand those G forces, I don't remember where I read it but somebody broke down the physics of it and the result was that the human body could withstand it.. though even if the body can withstand it, in time it would start really wrecking you.*.
But knowing safety regulations drivers would need to wear a full G-suit which would be insanity, anybody who has driven a race car of any description for a long period of time knows how swelteringly hot it gets just in a fire suit, leave alone heavy G-suit gear..

Everything about the car is absurd, the human brain can so easily slip up at those kinds of speeds so it's completely unsafe in the real world.

If anything like the X1 were to be built (Absolutely unlikely, even as a museum piece) it wouldn't be allowed on the road (Obviously) it wouldn't be allowed on public race tracks and it wouldn't be allowed in competition.

Safety is king, the X1 isn't safe. That's why it's perfectly suited for Gran Turismo, where lives can't be prematurely ended in a wall or with a snapped neck.

* Take this for what it's worth, I don't have the source I read this on me but I distinctly remember reading it.

i agree with you .
but what about if the x1 get the f1 engin ? (1000hp)

It's not so much the power as much as the immense cornering speed.

It could be safe, even in races, with 500 or so bhp and a half or three quarter power fan. The only problem would be getting a governing body to sanction a car like that (X2 class maybe?), as the cost to participating teams would be prohibitively high, meaning there'd be no privateer teams with a competitive car. On a completely unrelated topic, doesn't F1 have terrible privateer teams and budget limitations? :sly:

The GTP community should crowdsource fund the building of a real one! Jordan could keep it at his house.

There's always Le Mans Garage 56?

Simply do as F1 does, build tracks to slow the car down.

Simply do as F1 does, build tracks to slow the car down.

That isn't how F1 works. Many older F1 circuits predated F1 in the first place, and while some modern tracks are built with the hopes of seeing F1 there, they generally aren't just for F1. It's kind of like how a movie will grace the screens of a theater but the theater isn't built just for that one film. Regardless, F1 tracks aren't built for slowing cars down. Their twists and turns are to throw different challenges at the cars and drivers, and unique characteristics and flow make driving circuits more enjoyable to both drivers and fans.

If they just wanted to slow cars, they could just make a mindless zig-zag of nothing but sharp corners with no straights to built up speed. F1 regulations work to slow cars, which is why they are now limited to 2.4 liters, to just eight cylinders, no turbo, have to add ballast to reach a minimum weight, can't have fan suction, can't have "blown exhaust," can't have "double diffusers," can't have larger wings, and can't have the many little winglets that were last seen in 2008.

There is a difference between slowing cars down and making them crawl.

Adding a few extra chicanes and tightening turns is what you would do if you wanted to slow cars down. You could also turn the track into an 35 mph autocross, which is simply the same thing but more extreme.

Yup - the regulations are there to slow the cars down. The courses are designed - especially the newer ones, like the Circuit of the Americas here in Austin - to challenge the cars and drivers. Look at a map of COTA - long straights to test top speed and challenge engineers to find that balance of top speed versus aerodynamic drag (downforce), flowing curves to test aerodynamic grip, and sharp, angled corners to challenge mechanical grip. The track is designed to challenge engineers and aerodynamicists to find that perfect balance of high- and low-speed handling and the trade-off between handling and speed.

Older courses like Spa and the Nürburgring, you'll note they don't so much redesign the courses (well, except that at the 'Ring, they designed a whole new course having basically nothing to do with the real 'Ring...) as add chicanes here and there, and push back the crash barriers to provide more runoff room. At Monaco, there's really not a whole lot they can do to slow the cars down, since it's already a pretty low-speed course by its very layout.

I don't think anyone would enjoy trying to drive an X1 in a field full of X1s at Monaco... ;)
