Worse than replacing lightweight OEM plastic pieces with heavier carbon fiber just for the looks. Worse still than replacing lightweight OEM plastic pieces with heavier carbon-look plastic just for the looks. Having owned several carbon bikes, I certainly appreciate the material for its rigidity and vibration damping, but I don't understand the obsession with it. I'll note that I own steel bikes that are lighter, but don't possess those same properties and it's those properties that allow more power to go toward forward movement rather than frame flex.

I found it at pistonheads though. Not sure if was there before or a similar one, but it might be unable to be salvageable. You coudl be right, you could be wrong. But I already don't feel confident.
