Remember posting this abomination of an E-Type a while back (think it was in this thread not 100% sure), but it certainly is a true eye-sore. Plus what's worse is that it has that 5.7L Chevy V8 in the middle, and if I recall correctly from when I read it a while back, it even had a stupidly large 8.2L Turbo'ed Caddy V8 in it at one point ...
Whilst we're on the subject of E-Types... I was going to post this next one in the
Tasteful Modifications thread, because aside from looking absolutely gorgeous, the work that went into it is astounding. However, I felt there may have been a riot with potentially many displeased purists, if I did post it there

Anyhow, the E-Type is question; dubbed the "Japuar", is the creation of two brothers, built to go Drifting, complete with a 480hp non-VVTi spec, single turbo'ed 1JZ motor under the bonnet

.
The rear end was taken from an E60 M5, to take the abuse that drifting would throw at it of course, and the gearbox is of a BMW variety too, taken from a 330d, but the front A-Frame was completely fabricated to match the E-Types original setup, and they even managed to get hold of a genuine Jaguar Heritage Floor-pan as well.
Aside from looking absolutely fantastic, I love the fact that it's an E-Type built for drifting, which is one of the many reasons I love drifting in the first place, is the level of variation you can get, and from the on set, the "Japuar" doesn't look like your typical drifter. It's the little details I love too, like the custom Billet wheels that look like an homage to the D-Types wheels, and the the hardtop and boot's vents that look like the ones you'd see on an E-Type Lightweight.
Generally though, it's just the amount of work that has gone into it that's just amazing, especially when you consider where they started with the E-Type in the beginning, as you can see on the original
SpeedHunters article
![Eek  ](/wp-content/themes/gtp16/images/smilies/eek.svg)
. The fact that it's an E-Type built for drifting, and not designed to be original, may be completely sacrilegious and an outright sin to some, but as the article says, quite frankly, get over it, because it looks stunning, and the fact it's built for drifting in the first place, is enough to win me over anyway

However what makes me curious out of all this, is what the "Japuar" is up to now, since the SpeedHunters article is relatively old; posted September last year, and it was ran briefly at a shakedown, but I haven't seen anything online of it's whereabouts. Would make a stunning addition as a potential BDC entry though....
