Um... Why? Why 'pierce your ride'? Why put S2000 Taillights on a Prelude? Why put those intergra lights on it? Why paint it white to make the panel gaps so obvious? Why?

There's a car i sometimes see in my area, but never had chance to photograph. I can't recall what it was originally, something bogo like a Vauxhall Belmont or Ford Orion. It's got the obiquous OTT body kit (badly fitted and painted) but it's crowning glory is its lights. Previous generation BMW 5 series front lights - that almost meet in the middle and contemporary Range Rover rear lights that just make it look tall and narrow. It really is a shed worthy of these pages - i'll have to get a photo of it.

What the!?
Great exhausts... not to mention the chrome rims, chop-top and the horriffic paintjob.

They are wrecking the original beauty that once shone from that 300ZX.

What losers...

All of them. the peircings, the shoddy Probe, the...whatever that is with Z32 taillights. all of them hideous.

That's most definitely a convertible 300ZX, the shape of the dash matches. And yes, they did make convertible Z's.

I remember the 2-gen version, but never a 3-gen before. That thing would make an awesome parts chaser.

Agreed!

There was actually a 4th gen version built as well, not by GM but by a shop in Michigan. This is all I can find for a picture though...

I'm acutually quite surprised the 3rd gen never went to production. It looks like it needed just a few new parts, and GM was trying all sorts of weird stuff in the 80's.

The 3rd gens are poo in my book... never really found out what look they were trying to accomplish - whereas - And I am one of the old sk00ls.. The 2nd gen kammback 👍 I'd drive it and be proud.. For me, being a miserable european and all, 2nd gen Trans Ams are the epitome of "modern" American Muscle"...**

And the Kammback is so cool because it's so kitch - I'd drive one daily..

** I may have watched Smokey and the Bandit once or thrice too many....

Kammback?

ROFL!!!!!!!!

And, yeah, fierbizky, you've probably watched "Smokey" a bit too often. I'd go for the ultra-rare '69 Trans-ams myself.

The ElecTrick incorporates 21 TV screens, including two MFDM20HP 20-inch roof-mount color monitors with a TV tuner mounted from the hatch and fed content from six DVD players and two on-board cameras. Tsunami car sound accessories and Install Bay installation accessories are used throughout. Its powerful 6,000 watt sound system features JBL equipment.

a crapload of money went into this but it SURE IS questionable

Unforunately, they're rare and few in the US making this one a goner if it has a chance to be restored.

I can't believe someone would rape a 300ZX like that...how can you do that to such a beautiful car stock? Shame on that M***********.

There's a trailer queen. It should be illegal to have that many monitors on the show floor, much less on the street. Not to mention, it lookslike the structure's been hacked past the safe point, and there's no windows. In fact, I can't see any way to drive it at all!

As for the 300ZX being beautiful....fast car, sure, but it looks like a wedge overall. It's roughly the same shape as the 240SX, and I don't really find either car "attractive". Not that I dislike either, on the contrary, I would proudly own either, but "Beautiful?"

I will agree that no car, not even an Aztek, should go through what that Z's gone through.

With cars like the one above, you have to look past the ugliness and consider the workmanship that went into. The airbrushing on the body is amazing.

After all it's only a show car and would probably never be used on the road.

I can think of better ways to spend the money.

Considering I don't even see a steering wheel in there, I don't think we'll have to worry about that monstrosity on the road ay time soon.

What? Even Automobilemag would agree with me on here, not to mention countless others.

I think you'll find that when it was introduced in 90/91', the car was seen as a breakthrough for Nissan and people saw it as one of the greatest looking vehicle from Nissan since the Z31 had roamed the roads.

Maybe not for 2006 to some, but when people had first set eyes on it, a lot of people's perspective changed towards Nissan.
Just look a today's Fairlady Z/350Z; it's a stunner.

Eh... I saw that and I can think of at least 20 other cars that deserve that position more... in fact, I think half of their list are wrong, though Automobile is my favorite of the 4 major magazines...

TIS rims on a Civic? :odd:
