Yes, a lot of it actually seems photoshopped... Look at the angle of the front grille - that looks like a badly-done resize and copy.

Still, even photoshopped it's only half as bad. Just leave that spoiler in the trashcan. And get back the original bonnet...

When the beaters are bad enough, the pimpee gets a new car. In this case it was a completely rotten Nissan 280SX or something.

have a look at the full res image and tell me once more what was the worse mod?
i'd say look at the engine and wheels on the red thing taking up most of the picture....

It's not a Vette, it may share some parts but its not a Corvette.

They're to hold the overweight bodykit and spoiler up.

99% sure

Rim's (and possibly brakes)? yes, but It's not a Vette engine at least not those rims generation, Its a first generation carby fed Small block Chevrolet engine....... in the rear. There is a chance may have come out of a much older Corvette at one stage.
You can see the tubular frame at the front etc.

OMG extra kudos for a personal find.

Those struts are sometimes used for genuine reasons to adjust angle (downforce) of the aero parts on race cars. This case its just for the look. (They screw back and forth similar to tie rod ends for adjustment)
