Nope, I'm not kidding about the SR20DET 510, I really do think that would be pretty cool.

I agree with you... I'm just saying it has been done many times before...

There was a beautiful British Racing Green 510 (in SCC) with a red top SR20DET swap pushing 350hp... I would love to own that little RWD beast...

THE TEN RICE COMMANDMENTS:

I'll second that, that ain't bad at all..if it didn't have that bodykit. Although putting diferent car parts into a different car is identity theft, call me dumb but I actually like this one.

Why not just buy an Integra, though? It's not like it's in a completely different price bracket from a Sunfire... and it's a better vehicle on all aspects.

Well, that sunfire is problably 5 years old, and the guy paid about 7-8 grand for it, try buying a same year integra for that much...and then insurance....Integra's have ctrazy high resale value, and insurance is much higher for males esp. in the 16-24 braket !

Why modify a Sunfire though? A sunfire? If the owner wanted a good car, he/she would have been better off keeping the Sunfire stock and start saving towards a real car.

The Quad 4's that powered many Sunfires have quite the performance potential--you'd be surprised. In NA form they can put out around 200 hp (that'll definitely frigten some Integras) and I'vee seen several turbo Quad 4's with in excess of 600 hp.

GM Perormance has a kit for the cavalier which pretty much is buying a whole new engine can make like 1000+hp. It's like 12k though...

600 hp ecotec is correct, Gm Engineers have also been able to squeeze an excess of 800 hp out the little 2.2 ecotec for one of the sunfire drag cars...under low 89 seconds in the 1/4...not too shabby
