Old school wire wheels on a Jag
IMG_0327.jpg

that's awesome

I always thought the really funny ones were the guys who put lift kits on the trucks and bigger tires, then proceeded to leave the suspension and axles stock.

Well, the H-D axles are good enough for competition trucks with 33s - 38s, at least, but, yeah, Half-ton and compact axles need some meat.

and if you're going 48 or more, Rockwell Deuce-and-a-halfs are your entry point.

Interesting note: Many Monster trucks use strengthened School Bus axles, according to Patrick Enterprises...and those guys know a thing or two about Monster trucks. They build most of 'em. Bigfoot uses ZF Sachs axles with wet brakes and hub planetaries.

@Joey: You note the mud on the tires? It had to be in dirt at some point.

He's getting ready to turn down a dirt road (it's paved for like 100 yards) so I'm guessing that's it. A lot of the roads around here are dirt too.

Fair enough. Though, that is the nicest entrance to a gravel road I've ever seen.

That's how most of them are around here, they are paved to the neighbourhood entrance about a 100 yards up the way and then turn to dirt.

Heh...'round here, the gravel road's at the edge of a field, and usually a bit off the main road, although the high-power rocket club, locally, shoots off of a gravel road that's right on a major state highway. they're more common in Western Illinois, I've noticed.

it'd be easier to see what your talking about, Joey, if everything wasn't so dark. light meter must have read the sky.

Alright, I love 442's but is this really a correct direction for the name?

Olds Intrigue, features the 4.0 "Shortstar" V8.

^ technically unless they ditched the more powerfull and more efficient EFI in this car, It will NEVER be a 442. Olds 442 = 4 barrel carb, 4speed manual and Dual exhaust(2).

My 442 is 4 Cylinder, 4 Valve Per Cylinder, 2 Cam ;) and it's the quickest/fastest one since 1973.

Should be 4 leading wheels, 4 driving wheels, and 2 wheels under the firebox.

beg your pardon? that's not "questionable"...that's a NORMAL mod for a G2 Dakota. the shag/Fake fur, HELL yes, that's crap, but otherwise, that looks like a normal Plop-job to me. you usually see airbrush graphics like that on Jackups instead of Ploppers, though. btw, i think that's had a 2 or 3 inch roof chop.

likewise. In fact, Joey, you and I could probably get more cash in our cars than he could. We could probably get enough to buy the murcielago.

The amount in the photo is enough to buy the car anyways. I saw some other photos of his when he was foolin' around with stacks, and he had at least 350,000$.
