Awesome comparison.

Not sure how useful that actually is...

Thanks

The second controller there is just lying around for back up.

What could be more "fully sik" than single-colour undercar neons. Multi-coloured undercar neons of course!

And now, a post dedicated to the Hyundai Excel, a car that can be considered to be one of the kings of questionable modifications in Australia (the other being the Holden Commodore).

This isn't going to end well, by the looks of things...

Correct me if I'm wrong on the last pic, but isn't that a V8 Supercar style VT Commodore bumper? and no it certainly isn't going to end well. :ill:

A friend of mine drifts a BMW occasionally, as a hobby, and now wants to practice twin drifting, but without the hassle of breaking the front of his car... so the solution can only be a bull bar.

I think it was this thread that this MR2 was posted in. It was at It'sJDMYo!'s recent "So You Think You Can Stance" meet and entered the driveway-climbing competition. Photos and comments courtesy stickydiljoe.com

Armand with the TRD widebody MR-2 decided to participate/**** his **** up…If anyone had anything to lose in this competition, it was him. His car is in pretty good condition and I don’t think damaging that kit would really be a good idea but he went for it anyway. During a test run, he mysteriously broke the wing off that he had just recently not replaced EVER, so this will be day 837 of wingless widebody SW20…

It didn’t look too bad as he was making his way down…

6767191145_34e3c0dfde_o.jpg

…but the more angles he had to make to get out, the more stress it was on his front end…if you look closely, you can see his fender cracking where it meets the sideskirt….

Armand’s MR-2, post cracked fender…Aspiring breezies in the background doing hoodrat stuff…so hood that the guy photographing them is standing on the train tracks…

More awful "stance." Awesome plate:

I see someone beat me to that stance contest nonsense.

Stupidest. Thing. I've. Ever. Seen.

As someone who loves the slammed look and scene, even I hate that MR2. That car could have been so much better, but the thought of pushing the limits to an extreme and gaining bragging rights over wheel specs overshadowed the idea of running something clean and good.

So let me get this straight...They took a good STi that was stiff and stable in stock form, and proceeded to make it feminine by cutting off the roof, and making it structurally sound and rigid as butter on bread?

This should be a crime.

This should be a crime.

It was thought up by a New Hampshire Subaru dealership. Charging $75k for this ruination... They did this crime to an unfortunate number of 5 STIs.

^ Most of my friends are into that 'stance' thing. They encouraged me to join in but I declined. My reason is that I race anywhere, any surface, at anytime, since I'm a semi-rally dude. ;)

^ Yup, its ok if its a 100-hp eco-rocket like the Stramann CR-X Roadster. But on a 300-hp rally fighter? Like a neutered fighting pitbull, its just plain wrong. :indiff:

I just love Joey's comments though

As I said in part 1, I don’t know the criteria for judging or what they were looking for, but on that particular run…Milt Salamanca [the white Z in previous post] garnered a score of 27 out of a possible 40…I didn’t even bother catching score after this because I really didn’t know what was going on. We all basically stood there to watch people potentially **** their **** up…

A TSX narrowly missing the pavement as he was barely angling out…You can see Holly Lee and Tony from It’s JDM Yo!! standing in the middle of the driveway because they were basically the markers used to cut the driveway in half….Guy in the photo with the 49ers gear on is either whistling his favorite tune or over exaggerating his shock…

6767188961_9125d855cf_o.jpg

A strawberry-faced S14 240SX on Leon Hardiritt Ordens getting set to make his run….I thought the competition was a little unfair in that guys with aero or front lips already in need of repair competed against guys whose cars were in better condition…I mean, in terms of willingness to take a chance of breaking something to win, wouldn’t you have less to lose if your **** was already messed up already?…Then again, I don’t know how it was judged or scored so I can’t really say anything, just raising an interesting point….

6767189601_12dd2e79d2_o.jpg

Antonio from Motormavens.com didn’t seem too impressed….Big Mike on the far left was taking a standing nap...

6767188411_daa5c542e6_o.jpg

The CR-X’s run was one of the more interesting ones because they chose to drive the car straight up the driveway without angling at all and when it came down, it struggled to get traction and created some tire smoke…

6767190327_8f4e5acdd0_o.jpg

Thanks to drifting, enthusiasts these days are conditioned to cheer and go ape ***** anytime there is tire smoke so Infinit Wheels got some dap for creating the smoke show…

6767192193_52ac6978e4_o.jpg

This EF was one of the more ridiculous competitors of the day…not only was he making sparks under his car as he was exciting the driveway, he also was sparking when the car was driving normally on flat pavement. The guy decided to lower his car so extreme to the point where his car would flip over if he ran into a dime. The owner was also very serious about this competition and constantly asked later if he made it into the later rounds. Being low and ****ing up the bottom of the car is serious business…

Last time I checked, IS350s weren’t cheap and neither are the parts made for them…Tell that to this guy’s front lip…

That's pathetic.

Even worse are the people who drift them. When you go to all that trouble to get the tire halfway off the rim, then try to drift on it... what do you think is going to happen?

"Stance" and stretched tires are ugly anyway. As is hood rust, but fotunately that fad didn't last very long at all.

And that "illest" nonsense... lol wat?

I should take my pile of rust to a show, unbolt the wheels, and lean them over on the brakes at the most X-TREEM angle possible. I'd probably win a trophy.

Or take it to one of those driveway competitions, and waltz right down it with my stock ride height. PROBLEM, LUZERS?

what I love the most in those pitures is the look of every guy in every single photo. Really gangsta.

I think if I was walking on the other side of the street, I'd die of laughter just by seeing them guys, let alone the cars.
