Been out of town for the last few weeks but was excited to get home and purchase the car, only to finally get on and realize it's sold out! Does the classic car list rotate or is it a one window of opportunity type of deal? I was really looking forward to owning it.

Does the classic car list rotate
Yes. It takes about a month for a car to come back into stock once it leaves.
The availability of cars is both limited by amount and time
No, it's not. It's only limited by time. Each car stays on the list for around five days or so. It doesn't matter at all how many people buy it.

Actually more than two months, assuming they stay in the same order, which some haven't. About 74 days. The update cars are an unknown though, since we have no idea where they'll slot in to the regular rotation after their initial spotlight. The Escudo came back quite quickly.

The three cars required for the legendary trophy also appear more often.

Did it not vastly reduce when they doubled the size of the store and the number of slots refreshing each day? I'm sure I saw something middling flap through in 33 days - although I've not been paying attention as I rarely have more than 2m credits anyway.

Nope, because they upped how long they last for, 9 days IIRC. They have been shuffling the order of some about but for the cars that stay in the same place, it's about 70-74 days.

Before the mid-April expansion, appearances averaged 7 days. After the expansion, it's been 12 days with more variability in the length of availability. Lately there have been more cars that have lasted less than 10 days.

Specifically with the first appearances of post-launch Hagerty's cars, that was 15 days for the Ford Roadster and Suzuki Escudo, and 17 days for the Nissan Skyline Super Silhouette and Maserati Spyder. No other car has been available for more than 14 days.

With all that said, the first 2 post-launch Hagerty's cars came back roughly a month after their first appearances ended (the Escudo 20 days after, the Roadster 37 days after). Somewhat-related, the 3 "trophy" cars are now on their own refresh schedule, coming back roughly a month after selling out.
