Well, I just narrowed my Z06 time down to 2:03.962. If i feel like it later, i thnk there is atleast another half second left there.
I just ran both cars at laguna seca just to see how they compared. After about 4 laps in both cars, the R34 was only about 1.5 seconds back. That is pretty damn close. I think it is due to the long sweepers, the R34 has less understeer through these and can go through full throttle. With the Z06 you must slow down or downshift. Maybe after some practice though the Z06 would have more room for improvment though, because you just need to slowly scrup off less speed while going through these.
I think last time we had 2 or 3 rounds of this challenge. deep forest raceway, Monaco, and complex string. The Z06 won all rounds. Actually gokents, deep forest had a big advantage for the Z06 because the last few turns of the track are very slight and drven full throttle. Not to mention that long uphill section. In the beginning of the course, the R34 definatley has an advantage because you can throw the car around much easier, but after that, there arent many twisty sections. The Z06 also killed the R34 at monaco. This course is also a bit twisty, but they are all very slow corners. The Z06 doesnt have too much of a disadvantage here, and then when you need to put on the power again, the Z06 leaves the R34 in the dust.
I think a wet track might be a good idea. I will run the two cars at a few other tracks to get an idea of wher the R34 might be more even with the Z06.
