Dallara F192, just clean and simple lines, before all the silly bits started getting bolted on
Westlake Eagle F1.
'94 BTCC Cavalier.
So many interesting cars posted, so I thought I'd pick a few from maybe less well known avenues that invoked watershed moments in history.
Apologies for the black and white, but its the only decent sized photo of both Big John Mazmanian's Willys alongside the Stone Woods and Cook car. An absolute golden age of drag racing.
Swamp Rat XIV, not the first rear engined dragster, but the one that made it work and forced the entire class to follow suit
Pierson Brothers Coupe
So-Cal Belly Tank. A 296ci flathead built by Bobby Meeks pushed this car to 198mph in 1952.
Some better known cars:
"VLE", mk2 Escort works car. It was revelation in the rally scene and still a car often seen in competition today
McLaren M8. Built in various revisions to compete in the CanAm series in the late 60s, they utterly dominated the series until the Porsche 917 turned up with that monster flat 12. Sadly, the M8 was also to take the life of Bruce McLaren in 1970. This is an M8F
MP4/4. Had to be here didn't it ? Would have gotten 16/16 wins if it hadn't been for a certain Mr Schlesser...
