Is testing still on for this week? I keep thinking that it's for today.

Also, I'm assuming all the cars are running at their stock weights? Only the ~125hp, ~1005kg base spec thingy is kind of confusing.

Marunda, all of the information you need is in the OP. Most cars get weight reduction and sports computer.

Audi, yes. Sunday at noon EST/5 PM UK.

I realised I won't be able to make it for tomorrow's testing because the Indy 500 starts at the same time. Terribly sorry about that.

With the Honda and Mini set to 1005kg (seems strange, as you could just apply all weight reductions and then use ballast to tune the handling) the Mini was around 6-7 tenths a lap faster round Trial Mountain (1:39.6 vs 1:40.2/3).

Am I missing something? :odd:

GT6 physics, size, width and length of the car make a difference. Or downforce

Sorry if its a bit late, only just seen this
GTP name: GT5photomatic
PSN: rotweilerc67
Car: Mazda
Team: preferably join an existing team

Are there going to be any more cars added? Volvo, Chevrolet ect...
Welcome! I don't think we'll be adding any more cars.

Power Limiter? Just checking that you have done that. If you have, then we'll have to figure out where the MINI is getting is extra speed - corners or straightaway, and make necessary changes from there.

Yeah, 125hp. My guess is it's the torque.

With the stock weights I could do 1:41.1 in the Fit and 1:41.5 in the Mini, but the Mini loses ~140kg and the Honda only ~40. So at the same weight (1005kg) the extra torque of the Mini means it gets out of corners better.

Sorry I had to leave guys. For some reason my parents got dinner ready about an hour earlier than usual. :grumpy:

Was shaping up to be a good race, Andrew was just lurking back there waiting for me to make a mistake.

Was also a bit strange as I'd done all my testing on Racing Hards, so had to go through a bit of a re-adjustment phase. :dunce:

 you had some serious speed.

Shame you had to go, though - Ettick and I had two incredible races in a row after. They included a margin of victory for him, of 0.016 seconds. :D that's basically how the whole races went, too.

In fact the times seemed to be pretty close across the board, I might have to try the Mini on sports softs to see if that margin is still there.

Another question about the weight though, is it legal to apply all weight reductions and then use ballast to make the weight (and move it rearwards)?

Ideally, no. I don't have a way to police that, except if someone's car handles visibly differently.

However, I can usually tell within a few seconds of looking at a car, what sort of setup it has... The CR-X that joined, for example, was a purpose-built race car compared to the ITC-B cars.. racing suspension, all of the transmission goodies, and 50% power limiter probably... So you'll probably be caught, but I can't specifically check.

So, in other words, please don't.

I was using weight reductions to get as close to the weight as possible and then ballasting up to 1005kg. Presumably that is ok?

That is ideal, yes.

I don't mind what stage of weight reduction people use, so long as they don't touch the position slider. The only adjustments you get are brake bias... In order to ensure that driving talent takes precedence over tuning talent... To develop beginner drivers and challenge experienced drivers.
