Was that why one of them looked like Elmer Fudd?I forgot to tell you guys that it was "open season" for the wreckers at IMS. Sorry.
If this IS the case and the driver cannot continue, I'm offering my driver to fill the seat so their team may continue chasing the championship.Upon further review and reports from the hospital... the driver that hit the pit median may be out for the season, but came about 3 inches from being impaled. Our doctors and stewards are still discussing the accident and we will keep you posted.
Several of the TKU cars were involved in one, or both of the big ones but right now the primary focus of the press conference is in regards of driver health, safety, and accident dissection. Thankyou.Question: What (if anything) has happened with the members of Team Kate Upton? Were any of them involved?
Firstly that information is unavailable at the moment due to lack of memory.Question 1: Was the #50 car able to finish the race? If not what wreck was the car involved in?
Question 2: What condition is the injured driver in?
Question 3: What things have the stewards discussed about that driver?
The current status is unknown. The wall entered the cockpit and he favored hid right leg, bearing no weight upon exiting the car.*Guy that's somewhat recognizable, but wearing a long coat and trilby with an old-school "PRESS" label on it*
What IS the current status of ***** and how long will they remain in the medical facility?
Have the stewards discussed the possibilities of this occurring?
Has there been discussion about a temporary driver, or even a full replacement flying the team's banner?
How will this impact the series as a whole in the immediate future, and do you see any reverberations in future at any point?
I am doubtful that could be right. By that logic he became a bowl of soup. The exact number of G's exerted on the driver by my calculations is 786.737728068
I'd be up for subbing. The current status is unknown. The wall entered the cockpit and he favored hid right leg, bearing no weight upon exiting the car.
It had been on my mind personally, wondering If a situation could occur where a driver was in that situation with a put wall, yes.
There was already discussion of a replacement should one be needed. @BRRT_Angel and @PatrisS136 are to name a few.
The series must move on, obviously. A driver has been injured but the fact that an accident like this can occur without a severe consequence is a true testament to the safety of the series. Our R&D guys are already working with the vehicles to try to make them even safer. This is a rare accident and an unfortunate one at that. This does not in any way tarnish the relationship between GTPFS and IMS. We prepare for a lot of accidents but things like this can not always be expected. We are looking into putting a tire wall on the median but that is still under discussion. As of now we are going to move onto Martinsville as scheduled.

Sure. Can I help with the calculations?
Doesn't matter now... We've just gotten Hospital confirmationCan I help with the calculations?

The driver has suffered brain injuries not immediately evident. To preserve his life he has been put into a medically induced coma. He has also been discovered to have broken his right Arm and leg, in addition to several ribs. As of now he is unconscious and will remain in that state until further notice. Immediate brain surgery will be taking place in an attempt to keep him alive and save brain cells. Obviously this is the end of his season. @BRRT_Angel is en route and will fill his shoes for the remainder of the season. As of now she will be scoring for herself and not the driver in a coma, however that bit is not set in stone. Our thoughts are with the crew members and driver. We hope we can see him on the track for 2015. Obviously a bad circumstance, but the field will have now seen 43 faces, 2 of them female. Again. Thoughts are with the driver and his family and we will keep you updated on his condition through his surgeries. The fact that he even moved after the accident let alone exit the car is truly a strange thing and a good one at that. BRRT is currently on her way to Martinsville with the rest of the drivers and modifications are being made to the drivers car to fit BRRTs needs. Stay strong ****
