It's really a matter of your skill in drifting. My opinion though is FR because with 4wd you rlly kind of loose all the traction witch is good for Drift Racing (correct me if im wrong). I'm more into exhibition drifting at the moment tho so i just use fr with sport tires in rear and ss tires in front for better traction...

for my 4 wheel drift setting, ill give an example from my s13,
the front camber is high, the rear camber half of the front camber....
hard slicks front and back, toe in on the front, and about 250hp
no tcs
no lsd
come into the corner feint then turn untill reaching 3/4ths the way of the desired drift angle, then full throttle no steering to small correction motion for finish...

look at the depot for my settings

4 wheel drifting or 4wd drifting? For 4 wheel drifting, for me at least, its a normla setup. Just don't countersteer. And in reality, it slows you down, it doesnt make you go any faster. And for 4wd drifting, sometimes you need to mix tyres (Sticky front, slick back), but not always. To start out: Make an R34 VspecII, Juice it up to 500-ish HP. take it out on SSR 5 (Wet) and set the chamber to 2 in front, 4 in rear and dont countersteer when you drift (Also turn tcs and asm off) and its perfect.

Are you talking about 4WDrift, or AWD drifting? ;)

I think some people are confused, judging by some of their answers, and their settings. 4 wheel drift is a racing technique where you use all of your grip potential to traverse a corner using only weight shift and throttle to turn the car. This has nothing to do with 4WD drifting. I tend to just put on a little bit softer tires, adjust the settings to compensate slightly for the new tires, and adjust the suspension (spring rate) so it is closer then with my exhibition settings (Ex. 12.0, 11.00). I also sometimes adjust the LSD to give me a little more grip. That's about it. Truth be told it doesn't really matter that much, I just like my settings this way, nice and simple. ;)

That's what I said in an earlier post :)

Ok heres a question. Lets say two people have the same and equal skills and have two different cars (the fc and trueno ss) they would also have the same settings in the car that is best for it.The cars will also have the same part configuration for drifting. What will win the fc or trueno.

Let me kno if I made ANY sense out of that. :embarrassed:

Sorry Thio, just reiterating because people were giving exhibition settings, probably due to confusion. ;)

MaN-i-CaN-dRiFt, I think it would be a better idea if people actually watched a video on how drifting is done rather than having pictures because the pictures only tell the story in two dimensions. It doesn't deal with the wheels squealing and the way the car's inertia makes the car slide around a lot. The next best thing would be the drift guides that CudaMan, pergatory and battle_stage have made. And anyways, GTP has a FAQ about drifting. It just has to be bigger for the new people to see it, that's all.
