They're consistent, clean facts about sales. Unfortunately, most other regions hide behind smoke and mirrors to look at how well games are performing. More often than not, we only see PR statements from affected companies too.It don't get what the fuzz is all about with these charts every week... they don't even cover digital sales and UK isn't the biggest market either, so...
That's what I thought as well. But the most weird thing is, Battlefront II is 5th!Why and how does GTA V keep selling?!
Oh, just like basically every single other game. The article should mention that F7 got a hefty discount on major retailers like Amazon and Microsoft Store.
GTS too, before. The article should mention that F7 got a hefty discount on major retailers like Amazon and Microsoft Store.
They released a game with a very tight focus, I wouldn't necessarily call it incomplete. As for the Ai, I'm sure they didn't spend much time on it considering the main draw of the game is the online, player-to-player component. Especially so since the offline portion of the game was kind of just tacked on as of late.GTS too, before.
GTS is suffering in sales because of the small content and the single player is unfinished and extremely limited.
If GTS were to release 70% of the content of cars and racing tracks of F7, surely it would sell much more and the reception of the criticism would be very positive.
But PD chose to launch an incomplete game, malnourished and with a very bad IA. GTS turned market niche game.
Idk are the other racing games on discount because this article seems to be comparing F7 to the genre. If they all have hefty discounts then I suppose it’d be appropriate to mention it too.Oh, just like basically every single other game.
Yes, pretty much all the main racing games have had significant sales on them, especially considering all the holidays we've had. Some sales even extended up until the end of last week actually.Idk are the other racing games on discount because this article seems to be comparing F7 to the genre. Mario kart, Dirt 4 and Need for Speed but no Project Cars?
My brain does not compute that information.

Three long-running, easily accessible racing franchises beating a fairly niche relative newcomer... what's not to understand?
It is worth noting that 2017 was also the year that a slight slump in retail sales ended, making it the most popular year for physical copies in a few years at least. It was a strong showing for retail so it tells us that part of the story.I'm not sure what this tells us, this is retail and does not include digital downloads, where other games may far much better.
I have not purchased a retail copy of any game in the last three years, I guess it's what it says on the tin, it the best selling physical copy of a racing game, maybe it's because it come bundled with some PS4 packages, who knows?
Forza 7 was nowhere near that cheap. At best it was between £18-20 at a push, hardly $10.It should be noted that Forza 7 was on sale for around $10 in the UK last week that's why it was so high on the charts last week. Also it needs to be noted that Forza 3 charts because it's bundled with the Xbox One S.
Bundling is also contributing to these strong sales figures, with the game being a defacto inclusion for many outlets. Many of the official bundles also include Horizon 3, such as the Hot Wheels variant found quite often for very cheap

BF2 is bundled with PS4 so its going to chart. It should be noted that the UK has slipped to 3rd or 4th for European videogame sales and anything below the top 5 is only selling a modest 1200 to 5k copies at best and that's the upper half of the top 40. FH3 has charted since it launched last year but GT Sport day 1 sales beat FH3 lifetime sales to date in the UK. Which should also be noted.Latest numbers say BF 2 sold 9 million, just 1 million shy of the EA projections. What hurts EA the most is that there are no micro transactions right now in BF2 (the real money maker for EA).
I bought it too, at 50% sale. It is actually a fun game, but it's a grind fest, IMO more than GTS. Looking forward to the March update, in game progression will bi addressed, so I'm not playing right now,..to busy with GTS.
