This

PetrucciFever an amazing youtube guitarist. This is his original composition. So I bought this single from him at Itunes. Clearly worth the $0.99 hell I'd pay even more If I could.

4:00 is where I feel the adrenaline

This is typically the kind of stuff I listen to when I game.

Or commute to work.

Or do chores to.

Or... well, you get the idea. ;)

You must take a listen to the new record of Paul Gilbert "Fuzz Universe". Wow, some really rocking songs in there.
I'd say the first and eponymous song fits like a charm to racing.
The other song I pick that fits best as racing BGM is "Blue Orpheus" but actually the whole album goes well being fast paced and punchy.

At the moment, I listen to a variety of music when playing GT5. My playlist is a diverse mixture of rock, trance, techno and a teaspoonful of rap (i.e. Eminem).

BTW, Antti-san, "Dogfight" by m.o.v.e. is EPIC.

This past week or so I've had these ones in the cd changer while racing...

Fear Factory-Mechanize
Fear Factory-Obsolete
Winds Of Plague-The Great Stone War
Strapping Young Lad-Alien
Devin Townsend Project-Addicted!

Good stuff to drive to...in real life too. Just gotta watch the speedo a bit more closely!

Take pop, pop-rock, electronica, and then you run it through a low pass filter. It'll sound like you have what you hear when people blast their music with the windows up... this is one way to experience it yourself without damaging your hearing :)

I mostly listen to Electronic, Breakbeat, Brakecore, Techno and some Drum & Bass mixed in as well. I generally listen to this sort of music anyway, but as far as racing music goes, it's guaranteed to make you drive faster ;)

I don't know why, but when i put this song with this one-on-one race I had with a friend, it's so exciting to watch it gets me pumped up every time. Even though the lyrics don't fit with racing, it's most likely the energy of the song mixed in with the roaring engines. What do you guys think?

Won that by 0.1 seconds :sly:

When i was playing motorstorm, i found that the one song that got me most "In the Zone" was the Noisettes singing Dont upset The Rythm! Totally unlike me, way more into metal rock and electro... another good one is the Deadamou5 (which i spelt wrong) instrumental on tdu2. Ghosts N Stuff...
But the new fave for me is "The Lisbon Maru" from GT5 itself... 9 minutes of trancie calm... awesome when youre doing a long race that just goes nuts... think the suns just set, and the rain has just started. It just takes the tension away so i can really RACE! Love it.

A bit of everything. Seriously.

Lately though, my playlist has been putting a lot of Judas Priest. Gotta love hearing Electric Eye while flying down the Mulsanne.

Born too Slow - Crystal Method
The 99th Floor - Primal Scream
Riders on the Storm - The Doors

And some hard rock.

A bit of everything. Seriously.

Well, that's good. because Priest rule, it's sad that they're leaving the business though :(
