Actually.......... I go through the cheats for all my games sometimes and just so happen to find this laying inside this site. http://m.ign.com/cheats/games/gran-turismo-5-ps3-857126. It says close to the bottom under 7 hints that it'll be better to use Interm. than Rain. As for the times, I have no idea if they are better or not.

I wouldn't trust the information that these "GT5 cheats" websites give out about driving the car, tuning or otherwise, unless it's written by a top driver. There is no way driving int tires is better than rain tires if it is 70%+ and rising. Intermediates are good only for 25-60%(or higher depending if it is still raining). After that, rain tires is the way to go.

Don't worry. I rarely trust them now a days. I couldn't tell you how many times I was fooled by those guys. Other than the fact that the trophies they post on there are legit sometimes, that's really the only reason why I go on their. If I need good answers for GT5 ( going to be GT6 when I get it), I usually go here.

Edit: I kinda had a hunch that Interm. Better than rain was a lie when my own theory was back fired. Hehe!
