Actually 3 different types of Racing Super Soft tyres exist: RSS; RSS (V) and RSS (C)
It's possible to unlock them all and I really mean unlock them, not just equip them. You won't lose them after changing to worse tyres.

I must say the difference between Soft and Super Soft tyres isn't thaaaat big. I haven't tested it on a drag car, but around a circuit (GVS in my case) the difference is just about 1-1.5 secs per lap. The horizontal grip is almost the same, only the vertical grip is noticeably increased, but which is certainly more crucial for drag racing.
I don't see it as a big problem for online racing since the game will always show what tyres you're currently using.

EDIT:
And Sport Super Soft tyres seem to be the same as Intermediates.

i got ahold of a car equipped with these tires,so i ran to route x to test.bogged my quick shift so i went to adjust and then wasnt let back in with super soft tires same thing happened trying to play online.said regulations breached
 
Well from what I've seen, a friend send me pics of his EG with those super soft tires and it is actually quicker running along DC5 if not faster.

I have a gtr spec v 09' Gt academy edition that ran a 9.025. With a set of racing super softs (c) and a few adjustments it ran a 8.924. These super softs make a HUGE difference.

The tyres are no problem since it's veeeery easy to check what tyres the others are using.
You'll never see me doing serious drag racing with those tyres nor any hacks, it's just for fun. I more or less stopped drag racing anyway. 3k drag racing is pretty much dead and I see no fun in joining US (no offense) 1/4mile rooms in which I either get instant kicked or suffer from heavy lag.

Atm I'm just trying to build some nice looking cars with a driveable amount of power, just for fun of course. And I also would never use them in a serious circuit racing room, I'm way too fair for that.

S13 Silvia with 1600hp RB26DETT engine (yeah I swaped it), 10mm ground clearance and 25.5 degrees of camber (drives terrible, even on RSS tyres):

Those ideas are already in my mates head. Also had someone else make a EK9 with spoon dc2 b18c engine in it for me. Its brilliant.

im with dr. i creare replicas, like i have v8 rx7, the hennessy venom and the new focus rs awd, the different between us and some noob hack guy is that we actually create the car that it will look good and be completely tune able like if the car came on the game, some of this noobs all they do is put the x1 set up on any car with some retarded amount of hp smh... and since everyone knows i mod to recreate, i'll let the person im racing against what is on the car im running, either mod or non-mod, i play fare so i don't get burn.

? If you swap an engine there won't be such problems. Not even if you swap the drivetrain.... I guess you confuse this with chassis or body.

What I'm really looking for is to unlock the second SSRX layout. I found the SSRX numbers but have absolutely no clue how it could be unlocked.

Basically Matt the game can be "hacked" now and you can put as much power as you want, drivetrain, super soft tires etc on any car with rediculous amounts or anything from the tuning menus, even off the charts. Some cars have millions and millions of horsepower....
