Racing the Ferrari 512BB at Suzuka 600pp..NO AIDS lol..

Since this post was completely ignored in the other thread, I'll post it here:

Here is a race, which I assume was around 22:50 – 23:00 GMT. I have no idea which race it is (thanks to my ‘amazing’ internet clock), but here is a full list of the drivers and starting grid positions:

Matthlap111
GTNDC-Itto
GT5net_MathLESLY
Pole79
LiLFaF
GTP_Gnobody
JARN017
GTP_jacoja06
GTNDC-Sphinx

… I couldn’t catch Sphinx 👍

The interior view is my favourite (which I use in single player), but for online, I like to use the chase camera. I guess it gives me a better idea of my surroundings. I don't want to pun some poor dude who I didn't see in my blind spot. :scared:

Great driving there. 👍

I don't believe that was a group race, but it was good to watch all the same.

I see my car was doing the lag dance. I hope it doesn't look like that in every race I do. :nervous:

I'm clearing out all the recorded races I have over the next few days. I have no idea what they contain because they were just recorded at random, but I'll wade through them and pick out the best ones to post.

In the meantime,
I also have a few uploaded races that I've not posted due to quality issues, but perhaps the drivers involved may still like to see them anyway:

GT5P @ Suzuka 750pp - GTP_Sphinx(Evo X) v GTP_VanHelzer(Corvette) (03/05/08)

Comments:
Pretty much thought I had this one in the bag right from the start, but VanHelzer had other ideas. 👍

Will post more over the weekend.

I'm surprised you managed to stay ahead of a Corvette so long at all.

Not much of a video though, you could have told me to fast forward to the end :P

I'll take that as a compliment. ;) 👍

Yeah, forgot to mention that the action was right at the end. Sorry about that.

To make up for it, here's a better one:

:: Suzuka 600pp GTP_JASE72 / GTP_MisterWeary / GTP_Sphinx (May 21 2008, 1:07 PM) ::

Comments:
I messed up turn one, but not the usual trick of over-cooking it that places you into the litter, no, this time I under-cook the damn thing and end up on the grass on the other side of the track. :dopey: I earned another :dopey: after catching GTP_JASE72 and losing it whilst attempting a pass on the spoon curve. After my disastrous first lap, it was game on for the remainder of the race. I'm afraid I cut into the next race as the lead car was about to cross the finishing line, but no action was lost.

After Race Comments:
Sorry if I put you off on that first corner Jerry, I came in all wrong :dunce:

Not at all. My fault entirely. And the other off I had at spoon, damn rear wheel touched the grass as I was alongside ??? on the spoon curve.

Edit: I think that's it for me now. No more time :(

Thanks for the few races, they were great!!!

Consider yourself redeemed.:sly: That was some good racing, and it's very comforting to know, should I be racing you, that you're not one of those people who jump back on the racing line after a crash, you wait for a clear/safe path before jumping back on the track. Can't count the number of times I've crashed from someone just jumping straight back on.

I wondered what happened to you at the spoon. I knew you were on the inside and thought you would try taking me into it ,so I stayed out wide as long as I could.

I tried being a smart ass but just couldn't compete against the drive you got out of the hairpin.

Good races though :) 👍

Some racing moments captured with fellow GTPLANET members.

kind regards,

Thanx Jase72 for the Alfa footage :sly:

Never noticed this before, but Jase, nice direction indicating, as a tip: if you're already turning, no need to use the indicators anymore ;p

Good stuff.

 I'll have to check the car over. Seems I have an electrical fault somewhere :P

Sorry about the duplicate post(didn't realize i sent a private message) But that is one of my best races to date. i appreciate the efforts in posting that race for the world to see! Looking forward to some great racing in the future!:dopey:

^^ WOW! is that how the game acgtually looks like? ..my monitor seems to crop the picture! :( (Samsung Syckmaster(?) 226BW)

Clicky pic

Started off a good race, but then I spun...

It looks like you are suffering from the spoon corner bug as well

I know alot of drivers including myself who hit their marks just like you but still missed the corner by a mile

I'm thinking the rubberband physics not only make your tires spin easier and add weight to those up front, but maybe they also make your brakes lock up more often even with ABS at one

Other then that good racing, you're driving style reminds me of mine, smooth, consistant, never coming close to going off unless the changing phyics bother us

A few more vids are up on my YouTube site:

I think a lot of you will really enjoy "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad Punter"

I have a secret anti-punter tune on that car which I'll give to the first person who correctly identifies the background-music artist. (NOTE, the secret is very very LAME :-)

Remember to set your YouTube preferences to view in High Quality if your connection can handle it. All my GT5 videos are uploaded at high-enough quality that they automatically get a High Quality YouTube version.

Sorry Man I can't figure out the song. I even looked it up on google. lol

lmao, I can't believe he couldn't take you out.. But you stayed calm and just raced your race. Good stuff mate.

I haven't seen very many new videos posted. It is fun watching how others race from their perspective so those guys who do have the ability to record and upload race videos should keep uploading them. This is not a demand for more videos, but more of a request for more videos. Thanks to everyone who does post videos.
